The Nokia N86 Black is Nokia's latest N-series camera phone sporting a slider that can slide in both directions to expose either the keypad or some multimedia buttons. The slider feels tighter, so that the user can protect its phone from exposing the multimedia keys by accident which is its biggest advantage. The Nokia N86 Black measures a pocketable 103.4mm x 51.4mm x 16.5 mm (4.1in x 2.0in x .6in), and weighs 149g (5.3oz). The phone corners are rounded, and the front panel is enclosed in glass and bounded with a metal strip. The 2.6in AMOLED display offers QVGA (240 x 320 pixel) resolution and display upto 16 million colors. The back of black Nokia N86 is fully clad in soft touch paint and also features a wide-angle lens for the 8 megapixel camera completed with twin LED flash and sliding lens cover.
On the left edge of the handset is a single keypad lock switch, and on the right edge is the volume rocker and 2-stage camera shutter button and there is also a stereo speaker. The Nokia N86 Black features 8 megapixel camera that includes Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, dual-LED flash, 20x with digital zoom, and video recording at 30 frames per second. After taking pictures user can edit his photos the help of photo editor which comes preloaded in n86 black and can also view the photos in a slideshow or send them to a networked printer after editing. There is also a video recorder in the list of its features. For personal organization and time management, there are a calendar, a zip manager, a measurement converter, a PDF reader, a calendar, a clock, a calculator, and a text-to-speech message reader. The Quick Office Suite lets the user view Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents. There are also some nice shortcuts to jump to the top or bottom of the page.
