Because of the huge success of the Nokia N95, popular for its all-in-one functionality, Nokia has launched the Nokia N95 8GB. This is because the Nokia N95 lacks 3G capabilities. The design of this latest Nokia add-on is exquisite. Changed from its original grey color, the phone is now a classic black, plus the display is 2.8", an expanded version from the original 2.6" of the Nokia N95. The display also boasts increased sharpness and contrast, far better than the original one.
Another interesting feature found in the Nokia N95 8GB review is its multimedia keys. When you open the phone slide downwards, you can achieve a better tactile feedback. Its backlight has been changed too, from the original blue to white. The numeric keypads, located on the right hand side of the phone, are also backlit in white. Looking at the phone from the left-hand side, one can really say it is a striking replica of the original Nokia N95. Both the phone's lower and upper part have not undergone any change at all, and the arrangement of the connectors and the keys are the same.
The positioning of the camera of the Nokia N95 8GB has not changed either. The only distinctive difference is the position of the lens. The original Nokia N95 has its flash on the right side of the lens, while this newer version has its flash under the lens. The newer version also does not have a lens cover because Nokia has already replaced its former 940 mAh battery with a newer and thicker 1200 mAh. This Nokia phone uses the Symbian 9.2 OS c S60 3rd edition feature pack, the very same version used in the original version. One variation here though is the possibility to change the view of the icons on its main menu, plus the opportunity to set it in an animated mode. Like the original version, this upgraded Nokia phone is considered a four-band phone that can work in the 850, 900, 1800, or 1900 MHz networks. As with the camera, although both Nokia N95 versions are quite different in some aspects, the quality of the camera is still the same. Images are similar to the original one, with the same colors and photo details. The pictures are unsaturated, grayish, and with an affinity to yellow and purple, which make it stronger than any phones ever manufactured. Both the detail and the noise amount of the two versions of the phone are almost identical. When it comes to taking pictures in darker areas, the results are still the same.
The Nokia N95 8GB also comes with its own built-in N-Gage games platform. This means that you can conveniently play these games without buying the Nokia N-gage model. The platform already has much to offer. The graphics are better compared to those original mobile games normally seen. You can also turn it to 3D mode, with better music background and a larger number of computer games producers.
All in all, the Nokia N95 8GB is one of a kind. Being an upgraded version of the successful Nokia N95, you can expect to find the best in this world-class phone.
