Nokia N96 Review - an Overview of Nokia's New Smartphone

The Nokia N96 is Nokia's newest smartphone in their N series of products. It is the successor to the Nokia N95 and began selling in September 2008 in Europe, Middle East and Asia-Pacific. Sales in the Americas and China will begin very shortly though an exact date has not been announced. The Nokia N96 includes many features the public desires today such as Quad band, Dual band, access to 3G and WLAN though it doesn't include WCDMA, WLAN and DVB-H. GPS navigational capability, Ovi access, and a browser with complete HTML capability. The memory can be upgraded to 48 GB with 32 GB SDHC cards.

Like the Nokia N95, this phone is a 2 way slide. It includes a 5 megapixel camera with double LED flash and a VGA camera in front of the phone as well. You can also play music files that you can easily download via Nokia Web. The Nokia N96 also has a built-in motion sensor and like the N82 it can automatically rotate the screen when the user tilts it. High-quality video calling is another fabulous feature of this 3G phone. With upgraded music storage capabilities, many users will be able to take more music on the road whether it's to work or just for a daily walk.

It's important to note that there are several differences between the Nokia N95 and the Nokia N96.
