The all new Samsung F300 music phone is a revolutionary new phone from Samsung that takes its music player credentials to a new level with iPod style controls, and a large memory, that makes it a good rival to the iPod nano in terms of style and functionality.
What is immediately noticeable about the Samsung F300 is that it is very skinny, and that it has the phone controls on one side with a small display while on the other side it has the music player controls and a larger multi media screen that is perfect for viewing photos or watching short movies on,
The phone comes with all the accessories that you would expect from a high end mobile, and although the actual phone side of the unit looks a little dated with its tiny display, the other side is right up to date with a touch sensitive control pad that is intuitive to use, and simple to master.
The Samsung F300 has a 2 mega pixel camera that takes good quality photographs despite the thinness of the phone. One slight drawback with this particular model is that it has a fairly limited onboard memory, or just 100MB, which is not really enough to mark it out as a genuine contender in the digital music player market, although it does come with a built in FM Radio receiver that means you are not just limited to the 30 or so tracks that the phone cal hold in its memory.
One of the great things about the phone is that because Samsung have decided to place the phone and music players on opposite sides of the phone, and minimised the phone screen, this has allowed it to have much larger buttons than other phones currently offer, making it really easy to use to dial numbers.
The F300 from Samsung comes complete with Bluetooth compatibility, making it easy to share music from your PC or from a friend’s Bluetooth equipped device, as well as sharing photographs and ring tones.
Thanks to its innovative design, the Samsung F300 offers the best of both worlds. The controls are uncluttered and do not compromise on either, unlike many phones where the designers have struggled to integrate all the functionality that they have wanted to add to the phone. There is plenty to mark out the F300 as a good buy, although the small memory may be the biggest drawback to having it as your main music player.
