What do we call this new mobile phone from Samsung exactly ? Do Samsung actually know themselves ? The Samsung Tocco ? The Samsung F480 ? Or how about Samsung F480 Tocco !
Anyway, confusion over the exact name aside it's a very very good mobile phone - in fact, one of the best we've seen this year s far.
Touchscreens are very much "en vogue" at the moment & the F480 is no exception in using this method of browsing the menu & using the phone itself.
Samsung have rattled quite a few touchscreen models off & are getting pretty good at the concept as it responds incredibly well - unlike some other phones, notably the LG KF600 which is awful. The screen itself is very large at 2.8" and it's crystal clear resolution makes using the Tocco a real pleasure.
Being a 3.5g handset the Samsung">http://www.theorder.co.uk/phones/Samsung/F480%20Tocco">Samsung F480 Tocco is great to use for browsing the Web or downloading music & videos as it all happens super fast thanks to 3g speeds.
The camera is a highly commendable 5 megapixel affair that features auto face detection, auto focus, flash & video and image stabilisation. It also has a slow motion function and built-in video editor. All good stuff !
Considering the specification of the handset, the Tocco is quite small & light compared to most of the latest mobile phones available - it's dimensions are just 98.4 x 55 x 11.6 mm and the weight comes in at 100g. Battery life is around 3 hours talktime and 300 hours of standby time, which isn't amazing but certainly not bad at all.
All in all, we reckon that it's a great mobile phone and certainly a top contender for best handset of 2008. The Samsung F480 Tocco Sim Free is now available and it's available on most UK networks too.
