The Apple iPhone 3G and Samsung F480 Tocco are similar phones. Each of them comes with similar features and capabilities. Which one is better is a question that many people want answered. This article tries to unravel some of the mystery that might be surrounding the differences between the two phones.
The Apple iPhone 3G is a faster version of the original iPhone. The neat features of this phone are still basically the same as the original, combining Internet, phone, and music player. What makes the apple iPhone 3G different is the connection speed of the Internet. Another new feature is the addition of the apps store included in the phone. The 3G phone also includes faster and better e-mail features than the original. Still, the actual phone features of the Apple iPhone 3G are somewhat lacking. Concentration was put on the fancy design and music aspects, so the phone quality is not as good as some other phones out there. The screen is a standard iPhone size, and it comes in both black and white. Standard features include, Bluetooth, iTunes, multiple operating systems, 16GB memory, e-mail, radio, GPS, and more. It has the same multi-touch technology and rotating screen as the original. The camera in this phone is the same as the original, which is 2 megapixals. The drawbacks to this phone are no java and flash support, the battery life is fairly low and cannot be replaced, and there is no tethering.
The Samsung F480 Tocco is a similar phone to the iPhone, but focuses on different features. It looks fairly similar, and also comes in black like most other touch phones. Screen size is 2.8 inches, which is smaller than the Apple iPhone 3G, but not too much. The interface is much different, with a widgets style interface that is reminiscent of Windows Vista. The touch interface for the phone is still not up to the speed and quality of the iPhone, but it comes much closer than many other touch screens on the market today. The phone pad is like a traditional phone rather than the QWERTY like the iphone. The music player is almost as good as the iPhone. The features that come with the Samsung F480 Tocco include: FM radio, built in sound effects, Bluetooth, 5 megapixal camera, which is actually better than the iPhone, and it is equipped with anti-shake technology. The main drawback to this phone is that it is a jack of all trades, master of none. Still, it is pretty capable at everything that it does. The screen also is hard to read in direct sunlight. The Samsung F480 Tocco features on this phone are better than the iphone, as it has better sound quality and volume.
In all actuality, the Samsung F480 Tocco and the Apple iPhone 3g are different enough for each to stand alone. Each has their fan base and they are not likely to meet. However, if you want the heavy music and Internet influence on your phone, then the iphone is better. However, as a basic phone, the Tocco is all around better.
