The talktime on fully charged battery of S8000 is 8 hours 20 minutes on 2G and up to 5 hours on 3G as against 5 hours 30 minutes in the 9500. The Jet is available with AMOLED resistive touchscreen, compared to the other model which is available with TFT capacitive touchscreen. The resolution provided by both the devices is also different as it is 360 x 480 pixels in Storm and is 480 x 800 pixels in the other device. The 3.25 inches screen of the 9500 model is slightly more compared to 3.1 inches of Jet. When it comes to colour output of both the devices- there is a subtle difference between the two. There is a difference in the dimensions of both the devices as Blackberry's gadget is in112.5 x 62.2 x 14 mm dimension, compared to S8000 which is 108.8 x 53.5 x 11.9 mm in dimension.
When Samsung's gizmo is available with the features like SMS, MMS, Email, IM, Push Email; the other device supports features like SMS, MMS, Email, Instant Messaging. The device that consists of features like TouchWiz v2.0 UI, Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate and Motion UI, Proximity sensor for auto turn-off is known as S8000, compared to Storm which supports features like Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate. Apart from this, the innovative features of Jet like DNSe (Digital Natural Sound Engine) and 3.5 mm audio jack makes it a phone with a difference. The difference exists in the internal storage capacity as well because S8000 consists of 2GB / 8GB as against 1 GB storage, 128 MB RAM, both of which external memory can be expanded to 16 GB but 8GB card is included with 9500; using microSD(Transflash)
