The Samsung SGH-D407 is a flip phone with a basic design and plenty of good features for cell phone user. The internal 65K display features a resolution of 176 by 220 pixels, and the external 4 gray display features a resolution of 196 by 96 pixels. The VGA camera, which is embedded in the cell phone, integrates 4x digital zoom to give the user the best possible picture taking experience. Also, video recording is also fully supported - as well as video playback.
The Samsung SGH-D407 comes with preinstalled ringtones for a little bit of variety. At 3.42” high, 1.79” wide and 0.96” thick, this phone slips easily into a pocket or backpack. The three by four keypad is straightforward and easy to use, and the clamshell design ensures a long and healthy life for both the display screen and the keypad.
The mobile phone supports full SMS and instant messaging - featuring a selection of the Yahoo, ICQ, AOL and MSN messaging services. Users are also able to check email via the cell phone’s Internet connection - facilitated by WAP 2.0. Through JAVA, users can download files from the Samsung website to personalize their unit.
The SGH-D407 operates on the GSM 850 MHz, GSM 1800 MHz, and GSM 1900 MHz bands. CSD, GPRS Class10, EDGE Class10 network protocols guarantee a minimum of lag time for downloads and Internet interface. The phone supports Bluetooth technology - allowing users to chat at all times. Further, the phone’s standard battery grants users a talk time of up to 5 hours, and the phone will stand by for up to 250 hours – not bad!
Thus, as you can see, the Samsung SGH-D407 is a compact and portable cell phone that will meet the basic needs of most cell phone users everywhere.
