Samsung Tocco Lite Takes on the LG Cookie Phone

Samsung has now entered the budget touch screen mobile phones market with the Samsung Tocco Lite, manufactured under its model number as the S5230 this new handset looks to give stiff competition to LG's KP501 / KP500 Cookie phone.

The Samsung Tocco Lite is a downscaled version of the original Tocco F480 and sheds some of its weight as well as adding in some interesting new features, even smile detection has been built into this new Samsung phones camera software which is pretty impressive considering the low price of this new handset.

The LG Cookie has been stealing the budget touch screen phone limelight ever since its launch and has already been released in 3 different colour variants including the original black edition plus a pink and more recent silver colour scheme.

The Samsung Tocco Lite looks to be following suit with an already planned pink edition on its way, this new Samsung phone has now been launched on O2 pay monthly deals in the UK and is already available from free at just £15 per month.

Those not wanting to commit to a minimum term contract will be pleased to hear that the Samsung Tocco Lite will also be available as a Pay As You go phone in the very near future.

Proving the popularity of this new touch screen phone, Virgin launched their version just days ago and are already out of stock of both pay monthly and pay as you go Tocco Lite phones.

Stylish design

The sleek and slim Samsung S5230 has a very chic design. Available in sophisticated black hue the phone has pocket friendly dimensions of 104 x 53 x 11.9 mm.

It is incredibly light weight at 93.5 grams. The face of the phone is dominated by a TFT resistive touch screen that supports 256K colors and has a resolution of 240X400 pixels which is high enough to display vibrantly clear images.
