Sightline Payments: Gaming Payment Pioneers Discuss Online and Mobile Payment Solutions

Sightline Payments, the payment solution company dubbed as one of the gaming industry's "hottest start-ups" is currently in the final stages of development of its mobile payment solutions that are right on track with an industry first approach to make mobile payments easier and more secure.

Gaming payment pioneer Kirk Sanford Sightline's Founder and CEO built an impressive secure and reliable infrastructure in 2010 to handle the unique criteria for payment services to gaming patrons. Sanford stated "It's mainly the technological intelligence and the complexity that are in our payment solutions that excites our prospective clients. Naturally, when you add a proven and experienced team to the product mix it is bound to be successful."

The challenge of fully securing mobile and online payments has continued to be of industry concern and smart partnerships that bring PCI security will help solve the problem which has been a focus.

Through technology and processing partners, hundreds of millions of mobile subscribers in the US can one day use their mobile phones to complete transactions quickly and securely while having the freedom to choose the financial instruments in their mobile wallet and subsequently make a transfer into their pre-paid account for gaming entertainment.  Additionally, gaming patrons would likely enjoy mobile-authenticated payments for less fees, as opposed to very high fees for traditional cash access services, all while creating strong responsible gaming considerations because it is a budgeted prefunded account.

Carriers and credit-card companies are embracing near-field communications, or NFC, which allows people to wave their card or mobile phone in front of an NFC reader to pay for goods and services. NFC is already found in credit and debit cards, and can be accepted at drugstore chains and gas stations. Companies now rely on NFC stickers or memory cards with an NFC chip inserted into mobile phones. Newer mobile phones are expected to have the technology fully integrated. Research in Motion, for example, has announced it will use NFC chips in its BlackBerry next year, and Google recently announced the rollout of a new, NFC-supporting version of its Android operating system. Google's new smart phone, which is called the Nexus S that was developed with Samsung Electronics, will arrive this month equipped with an NFC chip that can securely store a consumer's digital wallet. Apple Inc. plans to introduce services that would let customers use its iPhone and iPad computer to make purchases. Research analysts project that as many as 700 million mobile subscribers globally will have phones equipped with NFC contactless technology by 2013.

As the former CEO of one of the largest gaming payments company, Sanford sees Sightline solutions as a definite game changer and the answer to mobile payment fraud. With an estimated $200 billion in annual cost caused by credit card fraud in the United States it's critical to be well-prepared.
