Silver Sony Ericsson Satio Released

It's just a couple of days since the launch of the Sony Ericsson Satio and already the original black edition Sony Satio has been joined by a new colour variant.

The Silver Sony Ericsson Satio takes everything that's great about the original black model and encases it in a new and sleek silver housing. The most famed feature of the Satio has to be its advanced 12.1 mega pixel camera which doesn't change from model to model.

The Sony Ericsson Satio is a phone which inspires. Its style is akin to a combination of classic PDA and advanced mobile phone. The Sony Satio has a colourful screen display which gives way to a high resolution camera, whilst still retaining a simple but effective demeanor.

The Satio is compact in size, measuring in at 112 mm x 55 mm wide and 13 mm thick. It weighs 126 grams and is a thing of beauty. The phone comes with a huge 12 mega pixel camera. This takes images of outstanding quality and, on its own would make this phone a worthwhile companion.

As you would expect the Sony Ericsson Satio also comes with a variety of add ons, such as auto focus, touch focus, geo-tagging, smile and face detection and a xenon flash. This comprehensive list of tools will help even the most seasoned photographer to take effective images. The addition of the video recording and playback facility provides alternative image capture and operates at VGA quality and at a 30 frames per second.

The overriding feature of this new Sony Ericsson phone is the 3.5 inch TFT touch screen which comfortably displays 16 million colours including variants. The screen displays images with a vivid representation and with an unrivalled clarity. The screen operates at a size of 360 x 640 pixels and includes an accelerometer sensor which ensures images are displayed in their correct aspect.

The Sony Satio comes with an MP3 player as well as a stereo FM radio, which means that downloaded music or radio are available at the touch of a button. Internet access is provided by the available HSDPA and Wi-Fi connections which provides the ability to surf the internet at speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps through either its own connections or nationally available Wi-Fi hot spots.

The connectivity continues with the availability of Blue tooth, USB, GPRS and EDGE. The GPS with A-GPS support feature offers satellite navigation. The Sony Ericsson Satio runs the ARM Cortex-A8 600 MHz processor and uses the Symbian Series 60 operating system.

These elements ensure the handset is quick off the mark and responsive in every way. The phone is an extraordinary handset with many features that will excite the consumer.
