Sony Ericsson K770i Review: a Look Into the Mobile Phone Known as the Cyber-shot

Is it a camera phone or a music phone? This is one of the most common questions that mobile phone users ask nowadays.

This is because you will rarely find a mobile phone which has outstanding features on both counts. It can either be a really good music phone, with average camera functionality. Or, it can be a really great camera phone, with the music player thrown in as an added feature.

A Brief Look at the Sony Ericsson K770i

So is the Sony Ericsson K770i a camera phone or a music phone? Since the unit belongs to Sony Ericsson's line of 'Cyber-shot' phones, it is definitely considered as more of a camera phone.

Here is a preview of the features included in the Sony Ericsson K770i Cybershot phone:
- TFT, 1.9-inch 240x320 pixel display
- 16 MB internal memory
- 3.2 Megapixel built-in digital camera
- MP3, AAC, WAV, WMA and m4a music player
- FM radio
- 3G, GPRS, Bluetooth and A2DP connectivity

Sony Ericsson K770i: Decide on the Design

The Sony Ericsson K770i is a candy bar phone which is available in funky colours like Ultra Violet, Truffle Brown and Sandy Beige. With these eye-catching hues to choose from, you will also enjoy the matt finish which feels like satin to the hands.

If you are the type of mobile phone user who always struggles with unlocking your phone no matter how long you have been using it - the Sony Ericsson K770i will not give you such problems. It has a slider lock which is a hassle-free way to access the main menu of your mobile phone.

What about the Sony Ericsson K770i as a Part of the 'Cybershot' Series?

As previously mentioned, the Sony Ericsson K770i is part of the Cybershot series. Naturally, you would expect a member of the Cybershot family to be a really great camera phone.

First, this mobile phone has a 3.2 Megapixel built-in digital camera. The lens cover of the Sony Ericsson K770i is a metal slider located on the back of the phone. There is a micro mirror so that you can conveniently take photos of yourself.

The problem is that the Sony Ericsson K770i has become an all-around phone instead of mastering the Cybershot technology. There is no Xenon flash, which is a glaring omission design-wise. To make up for this, you can use a photo light which can probably brighten up night shots - but not so much.

The Verdict for the Sony Ericsson K770i

Check out the Sony Ericsson K770i review from online users and you will see that it is more of an all-around phone than an excellent camera phone.

The Sony Ericsson K770i has 3G video calling capabilities, it has a good music player, an FM radio and the overall design is more sleek than its predecessors.
