The new Sony Ericsson W960i has finally made it to UK shores and is now available on O2, Vodafone and Pay As You Go from Uk retailers and networks.
The W-Series range of Sony Ericsson mobile phones stands for the Walkman range of music orientated handsets.
Named after the manufacturers high specification standalone MP3 players the Walkman phones all offer a dedicated suite of music software which is fast developing to offer new and exciting options and features.
The latest release to join the range is the new Sony Ericsson W960i, this new handset has had the blogs and message boards flooded since the summer of last year because it was origianlly supposed to be launched in November 2007, the delayed launch left Walkman fans hungry so when the Sony W960i was finally released in the UK yesterday on O2 and today on Vodafone and Pay As You Go the excitement has been explosive.
The Sony Ericsson W960i is the latest and most advanced Walkman phone to date. It has a 2.6 inch touchscreen display with advanced handwriting recognition. Its specification is comparable to Apple’s iPhone. The W960i is a 3G phone, which means fast web browsing and downloads. With Wi-fi the W960i can also connect to your wireless network at home or in the office. It has a 3 megapixel camera with autofocus, flash and video record. There’s also a VGA video call camera.
The W960i has one of the best music players seen in a mobile phone. It’s incredibly user friendly and makes use of the large touchscreen display. As with all Walkman phones, you can download, stream, store and play back music on your mobile. There’s 8 GB of storage space for MP3s and also an FM radio.
The Sony Ericsson W960i is by far the most sophisticated and advanced Walkman phone to date and is a real alternative to those die hard Sony Ericsson enthusiasts against the likes of the Nokia N95 and Apple iPhone.
