Sony Ericsson's New Walkman - Sony Ericsson W995

Sony Ericsson have now released their latest Walkman music phone, the new W995 is the latest in a long line of music orientated handsets from the manufacturer and follows on from the recently released Sony W705 and W715 models.

Offering the same great slide action the new Sony Ericsson W995 takes the features and technology of the previous two models a step further, featuring WiFi is carried through but Sony have added an amazing 8.1 megapixel camera to the new W995.

The Sony W995 has been made available on a range of O2 pay monthly deals and is already available from Free at just £20 per month line rental, this gives the consumer 200 anytime, any network minutes and 200 inclusive text messages to use each and every month.

Those in the market for an all-round mobile phone which satisfies both their camera and music player desires, usually have no choice but to purchase a top-end smartphone. But for those who don't want the fiddle of learning a more complex new OS, the W995 offers an almost ideal alternative. The Sony Ericsson feature-phone operating system is easy to use and attractive to look at, especially with the addition of the Flash Lite themes found inside this model.

The Sony Ericsson W995 is the latest addition to Sony’s walkman mobile phone line up. Equipped with a plethora of attributes, the phone is all set to conquer the mobile phone market.

Sleek Design

A symbol of style and sophistication, the Sony Ericsson W995 is available in three colors- ‘energetic red’, ‘progressive black’ and ‘cosmic silver’. The phone is a slider phone, i.e. you can slide open the handset to access the numeric keypad. The phone’s convenient design also allows you to use it in the closed position because there are external keys for navigation and feature access.

There is a conspicuous 2.6 inch color screen with a high resolution on the front of the mobile for enhanced viewing experience. Weighing only a meager 113 grams the phone is pretty light weight. This slim phone is compact and pocket friendly. At the same time it embodies the quality of sturdiness with a strong casing.

A Superior Walkman Phone

The main attraction of the Sony Ericsson W995 is its outstanding music functions. The phone is imbued with a Walkman music player. You can store and listen to your favorite tracks on the phone. You can also enjoy viewing your album art covers on the phone’s screen while you hear music. The 8 GB memory card ensures there will always be sufficient space for storing your music tracks.

The bass and clear stereo facets produce crystal clear sound. The audio quality is further augmented by the inbuilt stereo speaker systems of the phone. Track ID is a music recognition feature; Sense Me is a music type selector attribute. You can download ring tones as the phone has a Play Now feature for enabling this. Since the phone has a shake control facet you shake the handset in one direction to either change the track or increase the volume.

Apart from these staples of a walkman phone there is a brand new attribute in the Sony Ericsson W995- called the Media Go. This feature will automatically format downloaded music, video and images to make them compatible with the phone. The phone has Bluetooth Stereo A2DP connectivity which means you can connect the phone to a Bluetooth wireless headset. The music providing mettle of the phone is enhanced by the presence of an inbuilt radio that supports FM radio tuning.
