The Battle Of The 12 Megapixel Mobile Phones - Satio Vs Pixon 12

As mobile phone technology advances, the cameras on our phone seem to be getting better all the time. A few year back it was considered impressive to have a 4 megapixel camera on your phone. When a 5 megapixel version was released this was seen as groundbreaking, how far things have moved on. We now have two of the biggest mobile phone manufacturers about to release a 12 - yes that right a 12 megapixel camera on there phones. This jump up in quality has blown everything else out of the water. So step up to the plate the two 12 megapixel mobile phones. On one side we have the Sony Ericsson Satio Walkman phone and on the other we have the new Samsung Pixon12. So anyway, enough of the introductions, lets see what both phone have to offer.

With the Sony Ericsson Satio you can enjoy any form of entertainment anytime, anywhere. Whether its music or movies you will never be more than a tap away from your favourite tracks or shows. Just tap directly into your favourite videos and music with the unique full touch media menu, standby panels and music player. Snapping perfect pictures also just got so simple thanks to the 12.1 megapixel camera, intuitive touch focus and Xenon flash. Share your photos with your nearest and dearest via your social networking site or should we just call it facebook, produce huge prints and you can even comment directly on your images.

With the Sony Ericsson Satio you can download exciting music, movies and games from PlayNow arena to personalise your entertainment experience on Satio and enjoy them in crystal clear 16:9 widescreen format. PlayNow arena on the Satio provides a full range of mobile entertainment available by dual download to both your PC and mobile phone with specially developed ring tones and music tones and DRM-free music tracks and TrackID charts from around the world. The Sony Ericsson satio have not yet been revealed, however it is expected to hit the shops towards the end of 2009.

Now we come to the other 12 megapixel mobile phone - the Samsung Pixon 12. This camera phone has a 28mm lens, touch-autofocus, auto-panarama, image stabilisation, smile detection, blink detection, xenon flash, power LED flash and more. It has a smart-auto mode, which automatically selects the correct mode based on the subject placed in front of the camera. Another cool feature is autofocus tracking, touch a person or an object on the viewfinder and the Pixon12 will track them and keep them in focus as they move. There’s a dedicated camera button and the Pixon12 can record high resolution video at 30 frames per second.

The Samsung Pixon12 is a 3G phone with HSDPA support. It has a GPS receiver for geotagging photos and now includes Wi-Fi. The 3.1 inch touchscreen uses Samsung’s TouchWiz interface, sensitivity is good and the screen provides haptic feedback. The good news about the Samung Pixon 12 is that it is already available on the market so has a jump start on the Sony Ericsson Satio.
