Join me, as I tell you about why I love this king among mobile phones, the beautiful Sony Ericsson P1.
Sony Ericsson - redefining the smartphone
Sony Ericsson are, in my opinion, one of the single best mobile phone manufacturers on the planet. But then, I would say that, since all but one of my mobile phones have been Sony Ericsson (the one that wasn't was a Samsung... nice, but not in the same league). One of the big things they've become known for is their range of smartphones. Over the years, they've produced some real stunners: the P800, P900, P910, P990 (although most people didn't like this one as much, I did...) and the most recent, the P1. That, right there, is their entire back catalogue of P-series smartphones. And yes, I've owned every single one of those. I can honestly say I will, in all likelihood, never use anything but a Sony Ericsson smartphone, for the rest of my life, because, well, they really are stunners.
But why are they? Let's take a look at the latest, the P1, and see why it's so good.
The P1 - showing the world what mobile phones SHOULD be like!
In one word, if I had to describe the Sony Ericsson P1, it would be: stunning! Based around the Symbian UIQ3 interface, with a full touchscreen, and QWERTY keyboard, it's very clear that this phone is designed to be more than just a phone. the best way to think of it would be as a computer in your hand. with a super-powered processor, 128Mb of RAM, it combines the power of something like a Windows Mobile device with the ease of use that we've come to expect from mobile phones.
And that, right there, is why it's the king of smartphones. Not because it's the most powerful (it's not), not because it's the prettiest (it's not, although it is gorgeous), and not because it's the fastest (it's not). It's very simple; it's the combination of those elements. So, while there may be more powerful, faster, or prettier mobile phones out there, the simple fact is that nothing, NOTHING mixes it all up, and puts it all together as well as the Sony Ericsson P1. That's why i adore it, and it's also why I'll be getting its successor, the P5 when it finally gets launched!
