To find the best Sony Ericsson Satio deals you can look at Moby1 who compare all the latest phone deals for the Satio and many other phones, and they also have many informative phone reviews.
In August, Samsung revolutionized the world of mobile phone imaging with the release of the Samsung M8910 Pixon12. The main feature of the device was its top-of-the-line 12-Megapixel snapper that was unmatched by any other mobile phone in the industry. Well, that record was held up until around a month ago when Sony Ericsson launched its own imaging monster in the form of the Sony Ericsson Satio.
Naturally, these two Smartphones were pitted against each other as comparisons and evaluations popped out left and right. Online blogs and magazine reviews alike tried their best in trying to state their case on which was the better mobile phone. Following this line of healthy competitive rivalry, we too have our own version as we match the two toe to toe. Take out the popcorn because this is going to be a good one.
Design
Although both mobiles take on a similar candy bar form factor, there are a lot of differences between the two in terms of design and construction. For starters, the rounded corners on the Pixon12 give it a more casual vibe, whereas the pointed corners found in the Satio provide for a more formal, business-like appeal. Both the Satio and the Pixon12 come in the familiar black, shiny finish and also have similar front surfaces dominated by their oversized screens.
However, at only 3.1 inches, the Pixon12’s touch screen display is a bit smaller than the Satio’s 3.5-inch display. What the Pixon12’s screen lacks in size, it makes up for it resolution. Compared to the Satio’s 360 x 640-pixel display capability, the Pixon12’s is much better at 480 x 800. Although it may be smaller, you are sure to get higher image resolution outputs on the Pixon12’s display.
Feature Set
When it comes to the basic mobile phone features, it’s pretty much a fair match between the two. Both have similar voice and data connectivity options – spec sheets that you would find in any other Smartphone in the market. However, where the Satio leaves the Pixon12 far behind is in the software category.
The Camera
And now we’ve come down to the finale – the final piece of the puzzle. And there is no better basis of comparison than what has made these two devices the talk of the town. Although both have 12-Mgeapixel snappers on board, they couldn’t be more different.
The Satio’s camera has a decent set of features which includes auto focus, 2 flashes, geo-tagging, and face and smile detection. However, the Pixon12 has a far wider range – quite literally when you take into consideration its 28 mm lens which allows for a wider angle. Unique features such as variable aperture, smart auto mode, and tracking touch auto focus are just some of the few functions that make the Pixon 12’s snapper much better – on paper, of course. Performance wise though, their pretty much at the same level especially if your job description doesn’t involve professional photography.
