Of all the unique features to come with handy mobile phone, voice calling is the best and the latest. This exciting feature enables mobile phone users to make phone calls by just calling out a person’s name to their cell. The mobile phone will automatically dial the person’s number and make the call.
With voice dialing features in your mobile phone, your hands-free experience enhances to the next level. Users can do multiple tasks or rather multitask and speak at the same time, because voice dialing enables them to do this.
There are two type of voice dialing feature – the speaker dependent one and the speaker independent one. In the speaker dependent type of voice dialing feature, the names of the people you wish to call must be recorded on the phone for you to be able to use this feature. Only the person who has recorded the name can make a call and the phone will of course only respond to recorded names for dialing. So, any other number for which there is no voice recording of the name in phone book cannot be used through voice dialing. In a speaker independent type of voice dialing anyone can call out the name of the person and the phone will automatically match the called out name with the closest name entered in the phone book and dial the number.
Voice dialing frees you up in many ways. You can talk to people as you work, without having to reach out and dial a number. You can make calls faster as the mobile phone will automatically dial up the number you want quickly. It can also be a better option when you want to speak whiles your drive, though it is advisable to refrain from speaking while you drive. It comes in handy during situations when you are in a place where you cannot see you keypad and need to speak to someone in a hurry. One thing to look out for here is that voice dialing is a new feature and it will cost you more when you opt for a phone with voice dialing facility.
Before you buy a mobile phone with voice dialing facility, check with the dealer on how the voice dialing works and what you have to do to enable it. Check if the features are okay with what you require from your mobile phone usage before going in for a purchase.
