Going through the statistics of reports published by UNICEF, United Nation Children's Fund, pictures the shocking revelation of hard face of poverty globally. Almost half of the world population lives on less than US$2.5 a day. Another important statistics is that around 80% of population earns less than $10 a day. The inequality between rich and poor widens where population percentage is higher. Be it developing or developed countries, economic progress are often struck while dealing with this deep-rooted issue. Poverty is not merely the lack of minimum food and shelter, its terms for definition widens with other factors like health, jobs and education. The lack of financial freedom in turn cause physical and emotional stresses and strains, which eventually seeds up antisocial attitudes among poor even causing severe challenge to the law and governments. Mental stigma is another prime concern generated by long-term poverty. The chaos to meet daily needs and social insecurity often results in divorce, death, job loss, drugs addiction etc.

Mostly children came from below poverty line are affected more, even before their birth. These social atmospheres in their upbringing create severe feeling of anxiety and depression from their childhood to adult hood. As the families of the children struggles to provide basic amenities often share a little quality time with their children, which is very needed for becoming a confident and self-esteemed citizen. Long time spending without the supervision of parents can severely damage their thoughts and mind.

Along with being born in a poor circumference with low nutritional gain, low birth weight and premature birth can have many preventable mental and physical disabilities. They will fell often sick through out their childhood and many also likely die even before the adolescence. They even misses school due to permanent unhealthy like anemic, partial blindness, hearing impaired etc.

Child welfare plans focus mostly on child health and education. Even though UNICEF and NGOs are making Quality Education Package to bring back children to schools with interactive learning sessions, maintaining teachers training up to date, ensuring fine classrooms and bathroom facilities. Around 121 million children are out of school globally which need to be seriously attended. UNICEF is implementing their vision with proper funding in most of the poverty-hit regions around world but it also needed proper support from the governing bodies there.

Importance of vocational training is now considered by several educationalists to bring changes early in the life of children from poor families. Training on handicrafts, pottery, Welding, repairing etc. are of much importance to find a part time job. Also emphasis on job market oriented training in Welding, automobile mechanics, communication technology etc. needs to be established widely. The jobs of welders, mechanics, painters are always seemed to survive irrespective of any changes.
