Are You a Parent

In Jeremiah 1:5, God declares that he is the one who forms life in the womb. Many of us take this for granted and abuse the lives that grow in us. As a parent you are just a vessel God is using to accomplish the task of procreation. He could have used anyone else but he chose you. For this fact alone just know that he has highly favored you. He also knows that you can live up to the task. This is the highest level of trust God can give a human being, entrusting you with another person's life.

Are you living up to the calling? Most of us think  that we are the law makers when it comes to our children. We have the last say when it concerns their lives. This is very wrong as we are just vessels God chose to use in order to bring these children into being. They do not belong to us but to God. We are just trustees. This means that we are not supposed to do anything in their lives without consulting the true parent, God. Whether its a school, discipline or everyday lives, just ask God on how to handle it.

When we involve God in the parenting exercise, things just flow. When your relationship with God involves your baby, as he grows older, so will he love to walk with him. Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.

What can churches do by David Barton and Rick Green

By: Delmar Ferrell | 01/12/2009
There are several things churches can do. ( one ) Churches can educate about America's Godly heritage. For David Barton and Rick Green, our heritage can not be defended if citizens don't know what they are upholding. ( two ) Churches can educate citizens in a full Biblical worldview. Today, we live in a society that compartmentalizes our religion, informing us that it is applicable for home or church but not for school, law, government, o...

A Conversation with David Barton

By: Ronny Savage | 30/11/2009
Any future plans to work with the Republican countrywide panel again? Whether I'll do additional work with the RNC depends upon 2 variables : them, and me. On their side, it is typical that after every election, there is a huge staff turnover at the RNC - often up to eighty p.c. The new workers and leaders in each cycle of the RNC will use those with whom they are already familiar ; I know less leaders at the RNC this cycle than in previous ones. I am assisting now with some dep...

By: Drew Castillo | 30/11/2009
Share with us the spirit of the Boston tea party. In the early 1600s, King James I had stridently resisted the Reformation ; so to combat the spreading Reformation teachings, he introduced 2 counter-Reformation'doctrines' : the Divine Right of Kings, and complete submission and non-resistance to authority, explaining that'it is seditious in subjects to object to what a king may do' and that'I am the partner, the whole [British Isles] is my lawful better half : I'm the head and it i...

Caring For People

By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | Christianity
It is not easy to have a burden for people who are not related to you. It takes God for someone to be compassionate and do something for people who are in need. We as men are selfish and self-centered. Thinking and being there for others is a gift from God. At times, it requires a lot of self sacrifice. All this can be achieved if we crucify ourselves and ask Christ to be our Lord and savior.

What Matters To God

By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | Christianity
What Matters To God When we get born again, we are so careful to do everything perfectly and please God in all that we do. We think before we talk and treat people better. Our love for God is very intense. We want to tell everyone about this wonderful thing we feel and preach to everyone though most of the time we are not even sure of what we are saying. We spend a lot of time with God in prayer and reading his word.

The Workers Are Few

By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | Christianity
Mathew 9:35-37. When Jesus was preaching the word to the people, many came from all parts of the world to see him and hear from him. Most expected for God to move in there lives and break them free from the bondage that suppressed them. At one time, he looked at them and saw what they had to go through to just come and be ministered to by him. Some even fainted from hunger.

The Parable of the Good Samaritan

By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | Christianity
Jesus told a story of how a certain man was attacked by robbers who beat him up and left him for dead. As he lay on the road unconscious, a priest passed by and had one look at him then went his way, passing on the other side of the road. A few minutes later, a Levi passed by and did exactly what the priest did and went his way too.

God Blessing You Financially

By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | Christianity
Many people miss the formula of how to get their financial breakthrough. It’s all very simple; you have to understand why God does things. He will not bless you so as you have a fat bank account. He wants you to have money so as you can feed, educate and shelter the needy. He wants you to be able to make a lasting change in someone else life. That’s the only time he will give you more than you need. The day you will truly understand this principle, you will be on your way to financial overflow

Where Does God Want You to Spend Most of Your Time

By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | Christianity
Some people would say the church. If this was true, God would have made everyday a Sabbath. Jesus too would have spent all his time in the temple of God. God wants you to spend most of your time where you are of real use and are impacting on people's lives. If every one of us was truly being a good steward of what God has given us, most of the problems we see today would be a thing of the past.

Asking For God's Help

By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | Christianity
When challenges encompass us, as they will sometimes, what is your reaction? Do you run to God for help or do you just opt to do it on your own? What happens when we get a challenge is rush and get a quick solution for it. We most often than not do not remember that God wants to be there for us and take us through all that we face in this life. When all does not work, we remember him and ask if he can intervene.

Living for God

By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | Christianity
When we give our lives to God, we ask him to come and be our Lord and Savior. What this means is that we are not the drivers of our lives and destinies anymore but Jesus Christ is. We stop living for ourselves but for God. We ask that his will may be done in our lives. Whatever he wants to do in us, he may do to the glory and honor of his Holy name.
