Discovering Your Calling - Part 2
You must not let anyone label you or put you in a box. Also, do not let anyone look down on you because of your age or status. Being poor of physically challenged does not mean that one cannot answer God's calling. Once you pray and ask God to direct you into your calling, look unto Him only and He will not lead you astray.
When God calls you to do something, He prepares and equips you in advance. He will give you an emotional investment in the work He has called you to do. He first begins with your availability and character; and then He works on your calling. Once you yield to God totally, He anoints you for the work He has called you to do. His hand will be on you and He will not leave you on your own. The Holy Spirit will teach you all things and show you the way forward.
Those years in the wilderness for Moses must have seemed like forever. Yet, it was in the wilderness that Moses learned to discern the voice of God from every other voice. God never wastes any experience and Moses' past positioned him for the future.
Before others can catch a vision, it must be born in the heart of one person. Our God will never give you a vision you can fulfil alone. He will always compensate for your weaknesses. He gave Joshua to Moses to be his personal assistant. Moses changed his own life at the age of forty and found his destiny at the age of eighty. So it is not over until God says it's over!
Instead of comparing yourself to others, recognize what God has called you to be, accept the gifts He has given you and start building on them. It is not victorious to keep wandering in the wilderness, delaying your growth, avoiding your calling, denying who you really are and focusing on lesser things. You have got to walk in God's way and not your own way. It is a responsible walk, which will bring glory to God by staying on the path. It is a relational walk, as you are not walking alone. You are walking hand in hand with Jesus, and in unity with your brothers and sisters in God's family.
You must continually rely on God's ability, not your own, in order to succeed. Your success is not based on your ideas or perceptions, but on the very mind and heart of God, which He has revealed to you in His Word. The truth is, your calling can bring results and reward, which reach far beyond your own little sphere of influence.
God did not choose you because of your actions, your lifestyle or your pleadings. He decided to be good to you, without provocation, inducement or cajoling. None of your weakness, failures or personality flaws had any effect on His decision. If you walk with God hand in hand, He will reveal deep and hidden things to you. Also, He will reveal what He has called you to do, for His glory.
Child of God, remember this; "The Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing His plans to His servants." Amos 3:7. Jesus said, "Everything that I learned from my Father, I have made known to you." John 15:15. The Lord confides in those who will trust and obey Him. He will reveal His will to you if you only consult Him.
Once you have discovered your calling through the help of the Holy Spirit, the next step is to fulfil it. Please see my three articles, titled "Fulfilling Your Calling."
PRAYER OF SALVATION
If you have not already committed your life to Jesus and you would like to do so now, please pray this prayer:
"Lord Jesus, I am sorry for all the things I have done wrong. Thank you for dying for me on the cross, to set me free from my sins. I ask you to come into my life as my personal Lord and Saviour, and fill me with the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord Jesus. Amen."
Congratulations, if you have prayed this prayer. Please look for a Bible-believing church, to fellowship with the brethren. Please do not hesitate to contact me, if I can be of any assistance to you. Remain blessed and enjoy the presence of the Lord.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever will believe will have everlasting life and not perish. God is there for nonbelievers also. He wants all of His children back. Seek and you shall find, ask and you shall receive, knock and the door will be opened
Historic Black College choirs across the country traditionally visit local community churches. For many churches it's reminiscent of a homecoming. Alum, prospective students and the community at large celebrate the choir, enjoy and appreciate the sacred music, pay tribute to loved ones that have helped financially support and embraced the school's mission which instills pride in the hope and dream of surviving and making it in a harsh world. Their presence is a testament of God's goodness.
Beloved, the plan of God for your life is to trust Him completely and not fret. When you fret, you become worried, anxious and you make a "down payment" for something that may not even happen. By doing this, you demonstrate that God is not able and this is an insult to the Almighty God, the Creator of the whole universe.
Beloved, if you believe that Jesus lives in you, you don't need to fret about anything. If you find yourself in a crisis of circumstances, you need to trust God for guidance. He is sovereign over changing circumstances and He will guide you all the way.
Beloved, I want you to know that it is a complete waste of time to pray to God, without great faith in our hands. "And without faith, it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and He rewards those who earnestly seek Him." Hebrews 11:6
Great faith requires complete trust in God and believing that He will do what His Word says. Also, with great faith, believe that you receive once you have prayed in the name of Jesus. Have a holy expectancy that you receive and believe that God's Word is working in every situation of your life.
Great faith, which is God-kind of faith, looks across the storm and it does not doubt. It does not question "why", but trusts in the Almighty God. Beloved, keep your eyes on Jesus and you will soon lose sight of your fears. Faith is the opposite of fear and as you exercise your faith in God, fear will have no leg to stand on.
