The purpose of worshiping God is for us to put God in the right place in our hearts. We must give him plenty of time in our lives; we must recognize that He is the creator of the Universe, and our creator. All that exists is there thanks to God.
John 4:24 "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." The basic reason why our worship should be spiritual is found in this verse "God is Spirit." In the times of Jesus, the Jewish people had the knowledge of the spirit nature of God, but they were missing the very important aspect of worship. The link between God and his people. Revelation 22:9 "Then he said to me, ‘See that you do not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book, worship God'". We must remember that God is the only one, we must adore, and we do not adore Men. There are men and women doing great things in the world. We can admire somebody for these great achievements, but there is a difference between admiration and worship.
Psalms 95:6 "Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker." We must keep in mind that church is not the only place where we give God the glory. He knows our hearts, inside the church and outside. Let's keeps our hearts clean for Jesus all of the time, whatever we do, wherever we do it, let's give God the Glory.
