Because we are imperfect human beings, we know that there will always be things we lack understanding of or we don't know entirely. There is no room for pretention because we know that it will all still become apparent that we don't know everything. However, as Christians we could at least find the means to understand more and this is why Christian orthodox blogs came about.

How can Christian orthodox blogs help you?

-It helps us understand some key beliefs

There are beliefs that are common to Christians in general but in addition to this orthodox Christians believe that the Holy Tradition is an important part of our Christian life. In fact, it is considered to be one of the specific sources of our faith. With the Holy Tradition, we get to know or familiarize ourselves with how the Holy Spirit works within the church as it provides unity and continuity of all faithful Christians.

Important Additions to the Key Beliefs

-Bible

-Liturgical and sacramental life of the church by which there are seven including holy orders, baptism, anointing of the sick, penance, communion, marriage and confirmation

-Dogmatic decisions and the councils' acts including writings of the church fathers, creeds, the saint's lives and the iconographic traditions

-Canonization of saints who can become our mediator before God

-Mother of God is the Virgin Mary

-It helps us understand some key festivals

Christians honor various festivals in honor to or in commemoration to the things that we have not been able to witness in person. Most of these festivals follow the Julian calendar rather than the Gregorian calendar which attributes to the 13-day delay in their celebration, festivities or commemoration as compared to the Western Church festivals. In addition to these festivities, there is a saint or feast commemorated each day in the Julian calendar.

One of the best ways that you can get to know all of these festivities and beliefs is through reading Christian orthodox blogs. Most of the Christian bloggers dealing with this kind of niche will often explain everything in detail.
