How To Get A Financial Breakthrough

The Christian principals of accumulating wealth are contrary to the beliefs of many that the more you save, the more you will have. The Bible teaches us that the more you give as a christian, the more shall you receive. In Luke 6:38 the Bible tells us that give and it shall come back to you, pressed down shaken together and running over. This giving falls under three major categories Tithing is the first category of giving. This is giving 10% of all your earnings to the house of God. Note that tithe is not given to charity but to the house of God you get spiritual food. God says in Malachi3:10, bring all the tithes into the store house that there may be food in my house and test me in this, if I will not open up the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing that there shall not be enough room to receive. Sacrificial seeds are those that you give believing God to work for you in a certain area of your life. This does not mean that you are bribing God but rather it shows God how much you want him to work in your situation. It also shows God that there is nothing you cannot give back to him. Whatever you have, you do not hold it to heart but you can realize anytime he asks you to. Sacrificial giving will never leave you the same. Another form of giving is being there for those less fortunate than you. By giving to the poor, you are securing your future in God. God will make sure that the devourer shall not find you. God will bless the work of your hands and you will never lack. You will always be a lender not a borrower.

God's Sovereign Choice: Unconditional Election

By: Ralph E. Bass, Jr. | 08/01/2010
Now if man is lost and incapable of saving himself, or of even willing that he be saved, then by an inescapable logic, if man is to be saved at all, he must be the object of God’s work in securing his salvation, and not his own work. Such a work requires that it be God that chooses man and not man that chooses God. This is necessarily so because, as we noted earlier, man simply will not choose God. He has no interest in God, he has no love for God, and in fact, there is a positive animosity by man toward God.

The testimony of an old couple with a family history of sickness who had never had the gospel of Jesus Christ presented to them in an everyday, non-religious manner, resulting in them holding to faulty concepts of God.

Humanity's Radical Corruption – Limited Atonement

By: Ralph E. Bass, Jr. | 07/01/2010
The Bible teaches that man has experienced a cataclysmic moral fall in Adam. This fall has corrupted man at every part of his being. For this reason, this doctrine has often been called Total Depravity. However, this term is subject to a misunderstanding. It has frequently been thought that by this term Reformed theologians mean and teach that man is as corrupt as he can be, or that he is utterly depraved.

Presbyterian Church Government

By: Ralph E. Bass, Jr. | 07/01/2010
When denominations were forming in the 16th century, denominations often took their names from the type of church government they adopted. The names Presbyterian, Episcopal and Congregational reflect this. The reason this was done was simply because in general all denominations subscribed to the same theology, Reformed, their differences were found only in their church government.

In Bible versus Quran: Rahab the prostitute in the Genealogy of the Lord Jesus?

By: Prof.dr. Ibrahim Khalil | 06/01/2010
In the Bible, the genealogy of the Lord Jesus from Abraham to Joseph who married Saint Mary is composed of 42 (or 55) generations. In such family tree, you find Rahab the prostitute. On the other hand, the genealogy of the Lord Jesus in the Quran is only three words: "Jesus the Son of Mary".

Presbyterian History

By: Ralph E. Bass, Jr. | 06/01/2010
The greatest early intellect and champion of Biblical theology was Aurelius Augustine (354-430) bishop of Hippo in North Africa. Augustine battled and bested the heretic Pelagius – a British monk who denied the depravity of man and the great doctrines of grace. Pelagius taught that the human will is free to do good or evil, and that divine grace only facilitates what the will can do of itself.

Caring For People

By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | Christianity
It is not easy to have a burden for people who are not related to you. It takes God for someone to be compassionate and do something for people who are in need. We as men are selfish and self-centered. Thinking and being there for others is a gift from God. At times, it requires a lot of self sacrifice. All this can be achieved if we crucify ourselves and ask Christ to be our Lord and savior.

What Matters To God

By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | Christianity
What Matters To God When we get born again, we are so careful to do everything perfectly and please God in all that we do. We think before we talk and treat people better. Our love for God is very intense. We want to tell everyone about this wonderful thing we feel and preach to everyone though most of the time we are not even sure of what we are saying. We spend a lot of time with God in prayer and reading his word.

The Workers Are Few

Mathew 9:35-37. When Jesus was preaching the word to the people, many came from all parts of the world to see him and hear from him. Most expected for God to move in there lives and break them free from the bondage that suppressed them. At one time, he looked at them and saw what they had to go through to just come and be ministered to by him. Some even fainted from hunger.

The Parable of the Good Samaritan

By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | Christianity
Jesus told a story of how a certain man was attacked by robbers who beat him up and left him for dead. As he lay on the road unconscious, a priest passed by and had one look at him then went his way, passing on the other side of the road. A few minutes later, a Levi passed by and did exactly what the priest did and went his way too.

God Blessing You Financially

By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | Christianity
Many people miss the formula of how to get their financial breakthrough. It’s all very simple; you have to understand why God does things. He will not bless you so as you have a fat bank account. He wants you to have money so as you can feed, educate and shelter the needy. He wants you to be able to make a lasting change in someone else life. That’s the only time he will give you more than you need. The day you will truly understand this principle, you will be on your way to financial overflow

Where Does God Want You to Spend Most of Your Time

By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | Christianity
Some people would say the church. If this was true, God would have made everyday a Sabbath. Jesus too would have spent all his time in the temple of God. God wants you to spend most of your time where you are of real use and are impacting on people's lives. If every one of us was truly being a good steward of what God has given us, most of the problems we see today would be a thing of the past.

Asking For God's Help

By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | Christianity
When challenges encompass us, as they will sometimes, what is your reaction? Do you run to God for help or do you just opt to do it on your own? What happens when we get a challenge is rush and get a quick solution for it. We most often than not do not remember that God wants to be there for us and take us through all that we face in this life. When all does not work, we remember him and ask if he can intervene.

Living for God

By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | Christianity
When we give our lives to God, we ask him to come and be our Lord and Savior. What this means is that we are not the drivers of our lives and destinies anymore but Jesus Christ is. We stop living for ourselves but for God. We ask that his will may be done in our lives. Whatever he wants to do in us, he may do to the glory and honor of his Holy name.
