How to Love God

Mathew 25:31-46. This will answer all the questions one may have on how to Love God. God expects more than lip service. It is not enough to just sing praise and worship hymns. You need to go the extra mile for God. Life and for that matter the human being is the most important creation to God. If you want to touch the heart of God, involve yourself with the things that matter to him.

How to love God involves loving and taking care of the needy in the society. These are the orphans, widows, sick and basically anyone needy. This is the major way of showing God how much we love him. In the kingdom of God, action speaks louder than words. Am not saying that it is wrong to tell God how much you love him. It is important to sing the praises and worship songs but it is not enough.

If you truly love God, you would know what really matters to him. You would also do your best to make a difference in somebody's life. It does not necessarily have to be  in monetary terms. You can offer your services at a care centre that needs volunteers. Just being there physically for someone who is needy and showing that you care means a lot. Some people just need to be told and shown love to find meaning in there lives. Some dont even know that God loves them. What would it cost you to just tell someone how much God loves them. You might not know it but someone needs to here that today. Its your mandate to let them know it. This way you will have known how to love God.

Why Does God Allow Suffering?

By: Jack Wellman | 12/12/2009
Why does God allow suffering that He is fully capable to stopping? This question has not only challenged Christians, but anyone. To witness histories or current atrocities and worldwide suffering on such catastrophic levels, can be a major stumbling block even for believers in Christ, not to mention atheists or agnostics. If God is "supposed to be an all-powerful and all-loving God, then why doesn't He stop it? Is He powerless, is He tired, is He even there...or maybe He's asleep."

For many people, families, the elderly and others, who are often times alone or their children have gone or they may have never even had children, their pets are exactly the same as a valued and cherished member of the family. In fact they may even treat them better than one of their own. And the treat them as their own children.

Caring For People

By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | Christianity
It is not easy to have a burden for people who are not related to you. It takes God for someone to be compassionate and do something for people who are in need. We as men are selfish and self-centered. Thinking and being there for others is a gift from God. At times, it requires a lot of self sacrifice. All this can be achieved if we crucify ourselves and ask Christ to be our Lord and savior.

What Matters To God

By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | Christianity
What Matters To God When we get born again, we are so careful to do everything perfectly and please God in all that we do. We think before we talk and treat people better. Our love for God is very intense. We want to tell everyone about this wonderful thing we feel and preach to everyone though most of the time we are not even sure of what we are saying. We spend a lot of time with God in prayer and reading his word.

The Workers Are Few

By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | Christianity
Mathew 9:35-37. When Jesus was preaching the word to the people, many came from all parts of the world to see him and hear from him. Most expected for God to move in there lives and break them free from the bondage that suppressed them. At one time, he looked at them and saw what they had to go through to just come and be ministered to by him. Some even fainted from hunger.

The Parable of the Good Samaritan

By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | Christianity
Jesus told a story of how a certain man was attacked by robbers who beat him up and left him for dead. As he lay on the road unconscious, a priest passed by and had one look at him then went his way, passing on the other side of the road. A few minutes later, a Levi passed by and did exactly what the priest did and went his way too.

God Blessing You Financially

By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | Christianity
Many people miss the formula of how to get their financial breakthrough. It’s all very simple; you have to understand why God does things. He will not bless you so as you have a fat bank account. He wants you to have money so as you can feed, educate and shelter the needy. He wants you to be able to make a lasting change in someone else life. That’s the only time he will give you more than you need. The day you will truly understand this principle, you will be on your way to financial overflow

Where Does God Want You to Spend Most of Your Time

By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | Christianity
Some people would say the church. If this was true, God would have made everyday a Sabbath. Jesus too would have spent all his time in the temple of God. God wants you to spend most of your time where you are of real use and are impacting on people's lives. If every one of us was truly being a good steward of what God has given us, most of the problems we see today would be a thing of the past.

Asking For God's Help

By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | Christianity
When challenges encompass us, as they will sometimes, what is your reaction? Do you run to God for help or do you just opt to do it on your own? What happens when we get a challenge is rush and get a quick solution for it. We most often than not do not remember that God wants to be there for us and take us through all that we face in this life. When all does not work, we remember him and ask if he can intervene.

Living for God

By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | Christianity
When we give our lives to God, we ask him to come and be our Lord and Savior. What this means is that we are not the drivers of our lives and destinies anymore but Jesus Christ is. We stop living for ourselves but for God. We ask that his will may be done in our lives. Whatever he wants to do in us, he may do to the glory and honor of his Holy name.
