Showing you my Heart                                           Photo by Sharon Phillips

I take thee this day to be my Lord and Savior.  This day I confess that I am a sinner in need of a Savior.  I do believe you were conceived by the Holy Spirit.  I believe you were born unto a virgin woman named Mary.  I believe you hung on a cross and your precious blood was shed for the remission of my sins.  I believe you hung on the cross unto death and you were buried.

I believe several days later you rose from the dead and you ascended up.  I believe that right now you are at the right hand of the Father making intercessions, for us.

I commit this day to abide in you, as you abide in me, that I might bring forth fruit and become a blessing to those all around me.  I take thee this day to be my Lord and my Savior and I shall have everlasting life in a place you have prepared just for me.

Scripture -

Romans 8:34 (King James Version)

34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

John 15:4 (New King James Version)

4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

Prayer -

Dear God:  As two individuals would come together as husband and wife, for better, for worse, in richer or poor, in sickness and in health, until death due us part so I take thee this day to be my Lord and Savior.  I shall commit to abide in you as you abide in me.

In Jesus Name.  Amen.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever will believe will have everlasting life and not perish. God is there for nonbelievers also. He wants all of His children back. Seek and you shall find, ask and you shall receive, knock and the door will be opened

Historic Black College choirs across the country traditionally visit local community churches. For many churches it's reminiscent of a homecoming. Alum, prospective students and the community at large celebrate the choir, enjoy and appreciate the sacred music, pay tribute to loved ones that have helped financially support and embraced the school's mission which instills pride in the hope and dream of surviving and making it in a harsh world. Their presence is a testament of God's goodness.

One car on the shoulder of the road makes a big difference. One car can affect and alter the lives of so many. So many people are counting on and depending on that one car for transportation to and from work. They depend on that car to take them to marketing places to obtain food and various other services. All the places they once had easy access to through transportation from this one car has become hampered.

Yes, you look great from the front. Onlookers salute you and give you your due respect, but what about the rear lights. I need a sure guide, someone who will stay on the road. I need a strong guide who has both rear lights working. There is nothing more frustrating then to follow one who has a rear light out. It causes me some confusion and makes me unsure of my path.

It is good for me to know where I have traveled to come to arrive at this point. I always take a moment to check the rear view mirror to continue to move forward successfully.
