In Bible Vs Quran: The Forged Prophecy of Saint Matthew

Saint Matthew' Scandal in the Bible

Saint Matthew narrated the story of Jesus when he was taken to Pilate after Judas has sold him by Thirty Silver Coins.

Matthew 27:1-9

Now when morning was come, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death: and they bound him, and led him away, and delivered him up to Pilate the governor. Then Judas, who betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, saying, I have sinned in that I betrayed innocent blood. But they said, what is that to us? See thou to it.  And he cast down the pieces of silver into the sanctuary, and departed; and he went away and hanged himself.  And the chief priests took the pieces of silver, and said: it is not lawful to put them into the treasury, since it is the price of blood.  And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter's field, to bury strangers in.  Wherefore that field was called, the field of blood, unto this day.

-------------------------

Saint Matthew continued his story and said in Matthew 27:9:

Then was fulfilled that which was spoken through Jeremiah the prophet, saying, and they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was priced, whom certain of the children of Israel did price;

-------------------------

As a matter of fact, Jeremiah the prophet never ever said that in his book.

Oh Saint Matthew, your quote is not present in the entire book you were referring to!

Oh Saint Matthew, your quote is forged

Nevertheless, Jeremiah the prophet said in Jeremiah 8:8:

How can you say, "We are wise because we have the word of the Lord," when your teachers have twisted it by writing lies?

-------------------------

Now, you will see Matthew 27:9 and Jeremiah 8:8 and you will see that:

1)      Some Biblical Versions that change the name of Jeremiah to Jeremy

2)      Some Biblical Versions that change the name of Jeremiah to Jeremias

3)      Some Biblical Version change the verse (Jeremiah 8:8) by adding words that are not it (see the underlined words)

===============

  1. 1.       Matthew 27:9

New Living Translation

This fulfilled the prophecy of Jeremiah that says, "They took the thirty pieces of silver—the price at which he was valued by the people of Israel,

New Century Version

So what Jeremiah the prophet had said came true: "They took thirty silver coins. That is how little the Israelites thought he was worth.

American Standard Version

Then was fulfilled that which was spoken through Jeremiah the prophet, saying, and they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was priced, whom certain of the children of Israel did price;

New International Reader's Version

Then the words spoken by Jeremiah the prophet came true. He had said, "They took the 30 silver coins. That price was set for him by the people of Israel.

Biblical Versions that change the name of Jeremiah the prophet

King James Version

Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, and they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value;

Wycliffe New Testament

Darby Translation

Then was fulfilled that which was spoken through Jeremias the prophet, saying, And I took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was set a price on, whom [they who were] of the sons of Israel had set a price on,

  1. 2.       Jeremiah 8:8

New Living Translation

How can you say, "We are wise because we have the word of the Lord," when your teachers have twisted it by writing lies?

New Century Version

You keep saying, "We are wise, because we have the teachings of the Lord." But actually, those who explain the Scriptures have written lies with their pens.

Some Biblical Version that change the verse by adding words that are not present in Jeremiah 8:8 (the underlined words)

The Message

How can you say, "We know the score? We're the proud owners of God's revelation"? Look where it's gotten you—stuck in illusion.  Your religion experts have taken you for a ride! Your know-it-alls will be unmasked, caught and shown up for what they are.

Amplified Bible

How can you say, we are wise, and we have the written law of the Lord [and are learned in its language and teachings]? Behold, the truth is, the lying pen of the scribes has made of the law a falsehood (a mere code of ceremonial observances).

On the other hand, neither Jeremiah the prophet nor Saint Matthew is mentioned therein in the entire Quran.

Now, we have two big issues or two important claims:

1)      The Biblical scholars claim that the Quran is quoted from the Bible.

2)      The Quran claims that the Bible is corrupted.

What do you believe?

    Historic Black College choirs across the country traditionally visit local community churches. For many churches it's reminiscent of a homecoming. Alum, prospective students and the community at large celebrate the choir, enjoy and appreciate the sacred music, pay tribute to loved ones that have helped financially support and embraced the school's mission which instills pride in the hope and dream of surviving and making it in a harsh world. Their presence is a testament of God's goodness.

    The Bible says that Jesus was coming out to the road, a man came running, knelt before Him, and asked Him, "Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?" Jesus said to him: "Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone". Now, who believe in this verse, the Jews or the Christians or the Muslims?

    The Bible says: "One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, "Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb." They interpret the bride as the New Jerusalem. In the Quran, Jerusalem, the bride of the Lamb, and the Lamb itself are not mentioned therein in the entire Quran.

    Talking about the end of Satan, the Bible says that the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. In the Quran, Satan and his fellows will dwell, in the Hereafter, in the Eternal Fire; however, the Quran says that before he has dwelled in the Eternal Fire, Satan will have an interesting discourse.

    In the Bible, God put this Law: "If a man sells his daughter as a slave, she is not to go free as the male slaves do." This law allows the father to sell his daughter as a slave. On the other hand, Allah did not put such an exciting Law. Now, which book dishonors the female gender, the Bible or the Quran?
