Honor your father and mother, so shall your days be long in the land that God has given you. This is the first commandment with a promise. It also means that parents are very important people to God. God has entrusted them with the lives of other human beings. This is a very big deal to God. He has given them the go ahead to fill the earth. Without parents we would not be there. Therefore we should give them the respect they deserve no matter what. When God gave this commandment, he did not say we treat our parents right if they treated us right. All that matters to God is that they are our parents. We should take care of them especially in old age. Some parents have treated there children very badly. Some have been physically and emotionally abused by there parents. Some children carry bitterness in to there adult lives and distance themselves with the parents. It is a way of protecting themselves from what hurt them most. God's intention is for children to enjoy a healthy loving relationship with their parents. Its never too late to make a change. There is nothing impossible with God. God can help you forgive your parents and start a new relationship. The devil knows that it is easier to penetrate into a separated family than that which is together. Bitterness will keep you away from experiencing the total power of God in your life. Forgiveness is for us to have peace and a chance to make relationships work. Christianity is all about good relationships. We cannot have a great relationship with God while you harbor bitterness.

No Room for Christ at Christmas
By: Elizabeth Jakimow | 17/12/2009In Bethlehem, over 2000 years ago, it was hard to find a place for the Baby Jesus to be born. In the 21st Century, we are still finding it hard to make room for Jesus in our lives. Maybe it's time to remove Santa from the honoured place at Christmas, and put Christ there instead. What Does Baptidzo Mean?
By: Ralph E. Bass, Jr. | 15/12/2009What does Baptidzo mean? And very importantly, what does it not mean? These are critical question that must be asked in order to understand Christian baptism. What is the “act” of Baptism? Indeed, is baptism essentially an “act” at all? Several authors have answered that question in the affirmative and have concluded that it is an act. But which act?

By: Joseph Ho | 15/12/2009The Christian World is now full of false teachers and prophets, preaching things which the itchy ears love to hear. They bring you myths and fairy tales stating that Jesus will solve all your problems, selling the Gospel for offering and tithes. Truth in its original unadulterated form is not very appealing to the prevailing people of our age. Come read this article and learn the truth.
Caring For People
By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | ChristianityIt is not easy to have a burden for people who are not related to you. It takes God for someone to be compassionate and do something for people who are in need. We as men are selfish and self-centered. Thinking and being there for others is a gift from God. At times, it requires a lot of self sacrifice. All this can be achieved if we crucify ourselves and ask Christ to be our Lord and savior.
What Matters To God
By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | ChristianityWhat Matters To God When we get born again, we are so careful to do everything perfectly and please God in all that we do. We think before we talk and treat people better. Our love for God is very intense. We want to tell everyone about this wonderful thing we feel and preach to everyone though most of the time we are not even sure of what we are saying. We spend a lot of time with God in prayer and reading his word.
The Workers Are Few
By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | ChristianityMathew 9:35-37. When Jesus was preaching the word to the people, many came from all parts of the world to see him and hear from him. Most expected for God to move in there lives and break them free from the bondage that suppressed them. At one time, he looked at them and saw what they had to go through to just come and be ministered to by him. Some even fainted from hunger.

God Blessing You Financially
By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | ChristianityMany people miss the formula of how to get their financial breakthrough. It’s all very simple; you have to understand why God does things. He will not bless you so as you have a fat bank account. He wants you to have money so as you can feed, educate and shelter the needy. He wants you to be able to make a lasting change in someone else life. That’s the only time he will give you more than you need. The day you will truly understand this principle, you will be on your way to financial overflow
Where Does God Want You to Spend Most of Your Time
By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | ChristianitySome people would say the church. If this was true, God would have made everyday a Sabbath. Jesus too would have spent all his time in the temple of God. God wants you to spend most of your time where you are of real use and are impacting on people's lives. If every one of us was truly being a good steward of what God has given us, most of the problems we see today would be a thing of the past.
Asking For God's Help
By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | ChristianityWhen challenges encompass us, as they will sometimes, what is your reaction? Do you run to God for help or do you just opt to do it on your own? What happens when we get a challenge is rush and get a quick solution for it. We most often than not do not remember that God wants to be there for us and take us through all that we face in this life. When all does not work, we remember him and ask if he can intervene.
Living for God
By: angelamwema | 11/09/2009 | ChristianityWhen we give our lives to God, we ask him to come and be our Lord and Savior. What this means is that we are not the drivers of our lives and destinies anymore but Jesus Christ is. We stop living for ourselves but for God. We ask that his will may be done in our lives. Whatever he wants to do in us, he may do to the glory and honor of his Holy name.
