So he sent you? And so what! By Apostle Dr. Genesis Dawuda

Text: John 7:28,29; 6:29,37-40,44

Jesus is the first official ambassador of the father's mandate, He is the first shaliach (that's the jewish terminology for apostle), "the representative who comes with all powers of his principal but who , when his commission is over, cannot further delegate but returns it to the sender, says Canon Michael Green in his book "Freed to Serve" (1983)

Jesus, as the Shaliach of the father also chose 2 disciples who he later appointed as His shaliachs. These ones further appointed successors which to date has become an arguable topic of discussion among church leadership. Did Jesus bequeath to the Apostles the power of delegation or it was the work of the Holy Spirit to inspire leadership that is necessary for both apostolic and catholic growth of the church, I mean His church.

If according to the accounts in the book of Acts, the Holy Spirit, inspired leadership, feeds the church with relevant truths, and breeds the church by adding to the church such as should be saved, then Acts 13 must hold as our standard for pneumatological Apostolic delegation. If in the truest sense a shaliach's power of delegated authority ends with him as he returns it back to the one who sent him. Then indeed every saint needs to go back to the Holy Spirit for restoration of order n succession.

But then after Shaliach Paul appointed Titus to oversee the churches in Crete, He told Titus to further appoint elders/bishops to oversee the work.

But can a Shaliach raise another to be Shaliach? Yes by the will of the Father through the Holy Spirit not the will of man. Shaliachs always asserts on this very point.

But then back to my topical statement, ‘So He sent you? And so what?

Many sent ones had in the past ruined their lives trying to run on an errand that the sender actually wish to enjoy fellowship with them than running errands. Once upon a time, I heard of a preacher, who while on his sick bed, and of cause his dying bed told his young pastors that He was sent on an errand, and given a horse; but unfortunately for him he killed the horse and couldn't deliver the message.

Jesus was first a disciple of the father before becoming a shaliach, His disciples were disciple before appointed to be His shaliachs.

So before you Shaliach me or disturb the world with your so called apostolic mandate, tell me about your discipleship, I mean your fellowship life. Your fellowship with God keeps the horse healthy and strong.

When Jesus was sent by the father as the first New Testament Shaliach, he fellowshipped with the father, displayed miracles, signs and wonders; yet those whom he fed both physically and spirituallygot vexed with him and not only doubted him but they ‘truncated' his life.

So, what's so special about your been sent? Is it to be crowned as a king? Or a star or as a servant?

The more time you take to feast and fast with God the father, son and Holy Spirit, so will you receive insight, wisdom, and knowledge to breakthrough.

Yesterday's prayer for boldness and utterance is not good enough for today. There is always a fresh manna daily from God for you.

We must balance work with prayer as much as work out our prayer through faith and action.

God yearns for fellowship more than activity. On the last day; will you present your signs and wonders or will you present a valuable time of walk with God?

The fact that you casted out demons, had power over natural courses or causes cannot replace your personal relationship with the Holy Spirit.

When was the last time you spent 5 good hours with the Holy Spirit, outside your preaching, study, crusade or other pastoral responsibilities. If he really sent you, then He has a blueprint that you need to follow.

Can you beat the time that Christ put into communion with the father? I'm not talking about Bible study. I'm talking about koinonia with God. Time when you get closer with the father, in communion in the presence of the Holy Spirit in worship.

Just in case you've forgotten, "He sent you, that all he has given you, you should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day."

Have you lost anything? Have you lost anybody? Have you lost time? have you lost souls to satan? Or have you lost power and influence over destinies that God has given you charge over? Then it's still early for you to restore yourself in order to find your way back for a genuine Shaliach mandate.
