Social decay and Recession A potent link

Posted: Aug 02, 2009 |Comments: 0 |

Why are we suddenly nervous of strange disasters, floods, viruses, earthquakes and wild fires and freak, devastating weather?  The word of God has already alerted the prosperous nations that all who mock the sovereignty of God will not go unharmed.  God gives power to obtain wealth and if he withdraws that power, there will be nothing but vanity left.  If we walk after other Gods, and serve and worship them even if we imagine this is the Almighty that we serve...our self deception will be rewarded with a slow but inevitable destruction of our societies.  Power refers broadly to any ability to effect  change or exert control over things or people, subjects  or objects. Witchcraft seeks to exert this power outside God.  As we master how to control outcomes through mind games, motivational theories, and artful interpersonal negotiation, we imagine we are in control until we are taught in a quick practical tutorial class that He is.  Obedience to God is not optional or a matter of personal choice but is the very crux of today's macro and microeconomic disarray.

A power cut implies equipment can go on batteries and possibly self-generation for a while until the machinery grinds to a halt. Many ran on their own strength for ages until the batteries gave up.  Why will you not get reconnected to the ultimate Power source, God?

There is no doubt a link between social decay and depression...many civilisations we learn from history were never really conquered...they just declined as morals, behaviour and permissiveness eventually led to their decline.

In my book Wealth out of Ashes http://www.authorhouse.com/Bookstore/ItemDetail.aspx?bookid=63927  I wrote about the principle of God's ownership which demands our accountability for what has been entrusted to our generation.  It is lamentable that God will remember this generation for its unmatched intellectual arrogance and rewriting all the social scripts on acceptable behaviour and morals...in the name of enlightenment...

The only way back is the way back to the old landmarks of morality...To live a recession-proof life in times like this is to hold firm to ideals of family, Christian discipleship and Spiritual alertness. see more on my site http://recessionproofchristianlife.com/

Watch and pray...

Always.
