The Crucifixion And What The Scriptures Say About It

Posted: Aug 11, 2011 |Comments: 0 |

Our Savior was crucified died on the cross. Since being from the Virgin Mary, the Savior, Jesus Christ, lived the way the Creator wanted for us to live. The Savior proved that as a man, if he could act and live in a way that would redeem mankind, then surely mankind could save itself from its own sins. There is a reason why the Savior, Jesus Christ, was given to us in the form of a simple man and not as an immortal Son of God.

The crucifixion of Jesus Christ was a slow event. It did not take place overnight. First the Savior, Jesus, he was betrayed by his apostle Judas for a mere bag of coins. Then he was arrested. The Savior was tried, found guilty, then punished and tortured. He was forced to carry the cross where he was to be tied down, nailed, and left to perish in front of his loved ones, Joseph and the Virgin Mary.

But the Savior saw all of this coming. Not one of these came as a surprise to him. He knew what the Creator was asking of him, and he did it all in order to save mankind. He entrusted his life into the hands of our Creator. Our Savior, by dying on the cross, saved us.

Here is an example of angels Bible verses:

"Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.

In you, O LORD, I take refuge;

let me never be put to shame.

In your justice rescue me.

Into your hands I commend my spirit;

you will redeem me, O LORD, O faithful God." Luke 23:46

Then the Savior resurrected on the third day of his death. It marked a huge celebration for the followers of the angels Bible verses, and the rest is history.

The Savior showed to us that you do not have to be anything special to be a son of the Creator. We are all sons of God. He is our Creator. But why can we not all be like the Savior who lived according to the wishes of the Creator? We should remember that it is all a matter of choice. Ask yourself. You know the difference between right and wrong. Do you live according to what is right and avoid doing what is wrong?

"Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die."" John 11:25-26

    We are taught at an early age as Christians about the Creator, the Lord, and His Kingdom in heaven, about His only Son Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Twelve Apostles, and heavenly angels. Fact is it has been a strong Christian-held belief that we all have our own guardian angels to look after us, keeping us away from harm. It is a comfortable notion to think that an angel is watching over us in our sleep.

    All of us, at one point or another, we are all susceptible to extreme feats of rage. In one moment you are feeling wild and happy-go-lucky, nothing can ruin your afternoon, and then the next moment your eyes popping out of their sockets and your mouth spouting curses at 100 words per minute. We can all feel happy, lonely, sad or ecstatic. It only makes sense that we are all entitled to feelings of anger, too.

    The followers of Christ should be reading the Holy Scriptures. It is not a concrete rule, mind you, nor do you have to read the Holy Scriptures in its entirety. But it must go without saying that as a follower of Christ, as a believer of the Savior and his sacrifices for us, Christians should at the very least care enough to read from time to time the Bible verses especially on their free time.

    Learning the Scriptures by heart is very difficult especially for kids, but it can be equally difficult on adults too.
