The Mark of the Beast - Know what the Antichrist is Planning

The Bible tells us that a diabolically clever dictator called the Antichrist will appear in the Last Days and swiftly rise to power until he rules all the nations of the earth. The book of Revelation says that once he has reached the peak of his power, the Antichrist will attempt to force everyone in the world to receive the Mark of the Beast in their right hand or in their forehead. No one will be able to hold a job or buy or sell anything if they don't have the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name, and his number is 666. (See Revelation 13:16-18.)

Many people have heard about these things and frankly, they hope that they're not true. They definitely do not want the world to come to an end. But they can't escape the niggling feeling that something catastrophic will happen in the near future. Perhaps they're at the point of retirement but are now wondering whether they'll actually be able to retire as planned. Others are just beginning their career and their dreams are already being dashed or downgraded.

The reason for this is that the recession of 2007-2009 has devastated financial institutions, stock markets and even governments. On a personal level, it has gutted many families' savings and investment portfolios, and hundreds of thousands have lost their homes. The International Labor Organization predicted that by the end of 2009, 20 million jobs around the world would have been lost. The recession has lifted in many areas, but it will take years to recuperate from the immense damage, not financially but psychologically-for it has shaken many people's belief in any kind of financial security.

For many people, the questions that won't go away are: "When will the next economic earthquake hit? And will it be the one that takes everything down?" A large number of Christians believe that whether it happens sooner or later, that yes, the global economic system must crash, leaving the earth in a state of near-anarchy. Then when the Antichrist rises and offers his "666 solution," people will be so destitute that they'll be willing to accept his Mark in their right hand or forehead-if only he will restore order and financial security.

For the first time in history, the technology is now in place for the Mark of the Beast to become a reality. Mankind now has the ability to implant a microchip under the skin of human beings that would serve as both a personal identification number and a debit/credit card. Microchips that serve as identifying integrated circuits are now routinely implanted under the skin of pets and farm animals, and the chip is only as big as a large grain of rice. It would make good "sense" in a time of unprecedented financial chaos to create a world currency, stop credit card theft and identity theft by implementing a high-tech microchip program, linked to computers around the world.

That amount of personal information in the hands of Big Brother would mean the end of freedom as we now know it, but desperate people are willing to give up much. Billions of people will accept the Mark, especially given the fact that they won't be able to hold a job or buy or sell without it. But receiving the Mark of the Beast is part and parcel of worshiping the Antichrist, and the Bible states that the punishment for worshiping this Devil-man and receiving his Mark is to be sent to hell (Rev. 14:9-11).

When that day comes, billions of people will be faced with a choice: to receive the Mark and worship the Antichrist or follow Jesus' admonition to flee into the hills. (See Matthew 24:15-16.) It will definitely pay to be prepared!

What is a Christian?

By: Eliza Pistis | 28/11/2009
Christianity is often confused as a religion, but it is more than that, it is a beautiful love relationship. Those that are true Christians live by a code of ethics, which is above any other perhaps that is why they are judged more than others in different religions.

Rambo or Peacemaker

Are we to believe the Bible literally? And if we are what is there about "thou shall not kill" that we seem to not understand?

Christ & the Bible: Do They Teach the Law of Success?

By: Matthew Toone | 28/11/2009
To be clear from the outset – I completely understand and respect the fact that many readers of this article may not be Christians or believe in the Bible and even Christ Himself. The intention of this article is in no way to discuss and debate the doctrines and tentacles of Christianity in any way, or to disparage the beliefs or religious affiliation of any reader. The only intent is to prove that Christ and the Bible, regardless of whether you believe in them or not, actually ...

Help the ‘Beggar’ to Achieve Your Own Success

By: Matthew Toone | 28/11/2009
I have often wondered what is more unfortunate – the awful situation of the sad and desperate beggar, whose situation was brought on by poor choices or unavoidable life circumstances; or is it actually found in the judgmental, scared, or selfish throngs of people who carelessly pass by these beggars (who also are human beings)?

Finishing Your Course With Joy

By: Pastor Tammy Mitchell | 28/11/2009
Single-mindedness is a quality needed by anyone who wishes to do God’s work. Each of us must step up to life with purpose, and vision to fulfill these God given tasks. Our purpose and life is directly linked to our relationship with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. You cannot and will not find your purpose outside of a life committed to Christ.

And I will look up and psalm 5

By: Joseph Jagde | 28/11/2009
When David says in this psalm, And I will look up this is the indication that this is what pleases the Lord, along with his voice in prayer, his direct approach to him in the moring, and all else, the very sight of the psalmist David looking up was pleasing to the Lord who surrounds his saints with favor on an individual basis.

Ignorance Does Not Excuse Sin

2012 is Debunked

By: James Kreuger | 27/11/2009 | Christianity
2012 is debunked. If you've somehow missed all the speculation that the world will end on December 21, 2012, but you've recently seen the movie "2012" by Director Roland Emmerich, then you've just had a Hollywood-style crash course in the latest and greatest Doomsday scenario.

The Rapture of the Church at the End Times

By: James Kreuger | 27/11/2009 | Religion
When Christians talk about the return of Jesus Christ in the End Time, they use the word "Rapture." These days "rapture" commonly means "ecstatic joy," but it has a different meaning as well. At its root is the Latin rapere which translates into English as "to seize."

What Are the Warning Signs of the End Times?

By: James Kreuger | 27/11/2009 | Christianity
What are the warning signs of the end times? Many Christians refer to the days in which we're living as "the End Times," but this is inaccurate. The Bible never uses the expression "the End Times" (plural). Instead, when talking about the final period of world history it focuses exclusively on the last 3 ½ years and calls this period "the time of the End" (Daniel 11:35, 40; 12:9).

Nostradamus Prophecies and Predictions at the End Times

By: James Kreuger | 25/11/2009 | Christianity
Nostradamus prophecies and predictions about the End of the World rings out a great concern for many people. Millions of people believe that Nostradamus (1503-1566) was a genuine prophet who foretold the future in sometimes amazing detail. Other people point out, however, that he did not make any claim to be a prophet in the Biblical sense of the word and that his "prophecies" (quatrains of rhymes) were often deliberately obscure, allowing them to be "fulfilled" by a wide range of competing hist

The Antichrist Signs You Need to Know Today

By: James Kreuger | 19/11/2009 | Christianity
The Antichrist signs are easy to recognize if you know what to look for. The majority of us have heard that the Bible says that a dictator as maniacal as Hitler will rise to rule the world in Earth's last desperate hours. The Bible calls him the Antichrist or simply "The Beast." The book of Revelation also tells us that the Beast will demand that every person in the world accept the "Mark of the Beast," 666, in their forehead or in their right hand, and that those who refuse are to be executed.
