The Massive Grace of the Lord

Mark 11.23 reads as follows from the NIV version of the Bible,

I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen; it will be done for him.

There is a faith that moves mountains.

But that movement, even when arising out of faith, is done in conjunction with the power and presence of the Lord

Moving mountains for you involves shading your vision to massive gra

Of course we get caught up in the minutia of our lives, and sometimes what is to be considered more important is only a theory.

Number one is the Lord has a grander vision for you, then you would have.

And it is the faith walk and exercise of faith that begins to tap into those visions.

There is one basic possible split in your thinking to look at when approaching the Lord in prayer.

And then there are those points we get stuck at, that tend to shade away the views and contemplation of things that the Lord may be doing for us on a mass scale.

Think of the way sometimes that the sun just etches through, yet in truth even while this is the experience in the moment and it really does feel like the sun is just peaking through, the truth is that it is there massively, as the preeminent power source out there, without which earth as it is would not survive in its present form.

In our personal struggles with maybe smaller matters in prayer, massive clouds may be sweeping past us in the sky

And it might be important at times to shift our views, prayer requests and thinking a bit into the possibility of gigantic movements of the Spirit

One way to start is to simply thank the Lord for what he is doing for you for within the day.

It says in Proverbs that you do not know what a day will bring about.

This verse alone defers to the presence of the Lord and what he might do as the day itself progresses.

You could say, "Lord, thank you for what you are doing for me today", right at the beginning of the day.

Thinking also about what the Lord might be doing for you on a mass scale or massively.

The Lord indeed may be moving mountains for you, and you are asking for an ice cream cone.

In other words look up, not just sideways and at what is right in front of you. If you look up, it is a huge sky and if you look up at night there is the stars, right there telling of more than just this little request or that little request.

Psalm 5 verse 3 says from the King James Version of the Bible:

3 My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD;
In the morning I will direct it to You,
And I will look up.

This invitation of the Lord to look up is an invitation to look at the massive aspects of the grace of the Lord, as looking up means looking at a lot more than just what might be in front of you on the your own personal plate on the table.

The later part of this psalm confirms that the invitation will have multiple aspects; the Lord will have a lot of things to say to you.

Verse 7 says of the same psalm says,

" But as for me, I will come into Your house in the multitude of Your mercy;
In fear of You I will worship toward Your holy temple."

In other words there is a lot more going on really on your behalf  then you can ask for or even know about in advance even within the day itself and this could involve massive moments of individual graces for you.

It is always best to look wide in the prayer approach and also intercede broadly and specifically for others.

As individuals maybe intervening for whole continents, we might feel that our prayers do have an effect on a wide and even massive scale.

Yet in reverting back to our own personal issues, that vision might narrow to just what we know and see, and what at times might be pecuniary prayer requests, yet just a look up to the sky reveals more and look up to the love, mercy and grace of the Lord reveals massively more.

As we begin the day looking up to the Lord in thanksgiving for what he might do for us this day, keep in mind that these graces might be bigger and larger and vaster than we have previously contemplated or imagined.

And despite our limitations of not really being able to know and envision all that the Lord might be doing for us, even within the day, doesn't mean that mountains aren't being moved in by the Lord for you in some miraculous and marvelous ways.

And even within the movements of unknown and unfamiliar ways, there is still the invitation to look up and begin to know and see the more massive graces of the Lord
