The Promises of God in Our Lives

Mostly when God promises us something, we expect this to take root immediately. This rarely happens and the opposite usually is the first result. When God promised me financial breakthrough, I lost everything I had at that time. I even got to a point where I was even doubting the words I heard from God, but he had come in such a way that I could not doubt even for a minute that God had surely spoken to me. You might be wondering why God said he will heal you and yet the condition is deteriorating. The answer is, God wants you to get to a point where you no without a doubt that he is the one who deed it for you. He does not want your doctor or relatives getting to think that they are the ones who did it for you. He cannot share his glory with any one so stop looking around and learn to look up. The other reason why God lets the opposite of his promises happen is that he wants to build our character. This is what keeps you in God even after you get your breakthrough. God does not want you having an attitude towards people when he blesses you with finances. He wants you to get to a point where no matter what he does for you, your attitude and heart does not become overwhelmed by the things around you. You will still praise him and serve him with or without the blessings in your life. When your character is strong enough to handle what God has for you, he will surely take you to the place he promised.
