The Savior And What The Scriptures Say About Him
Who is our Savior?
The Savior is the glorious figure of the New Testament. He claimed he was the Savior, taught Christianity all throughout the land, he was crucified and died as a result. On the third day he resurrected and took his rightful place in the Creator's kingdom. This is the Savior we know, the story of the carpenter as told in the Christmas bible verses.
"You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ." Galatians 3:26-27
Yet there are still a few issues nowadays that attempt to break down the Savior's place in history and in Christianity.
Do you remember The Da Vinci Code? A lot of people who refer themselves Christians started to question and even doubt the role of the Savior in their religion as the Creator's Messiah, as a good and simple man, or even as a preacher. Several published content claims to have proven that the Savior is not the man who everyone thinks he was, and many other religions are saying the same. As Christians, what do we make out of all these debates?
The coming of the Savior was first written in the Old Testament. The Gospels of Mark, John, Matthew, Luke and Mark all mentioned the life and experiences of the Savior. He was born by Mary, a Jewish girl who was somehow connected to King David through Joseph, the royal blood line. The Savior was thirty three when he was crucified on the cross.
But still the question remains: who is the Savior? Was he indeed the Messiah from the Creator?
The Christmas bible verses even say, "All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work," 2 Timothy 3:16-17.
"But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him." 2 Corinthians 2:14
At the end of the day we all have the freedom of choice. That's the special something the Creator gave us with that He did not give to all His other creations. As a follower of the Holy Scriptures and the Words of the Creator, you are also a follower of the Savior, of what he was and everything he had to give up in order to save us.
