The Spiritual Power of the True Word of God – A double edged Sword

The Spiritual Power of the True Word of God – A double edged Sword

Written by Joseph Ho, dated April 28th, 2009.

Many naïve preachers do not understand the true power of the Word of God. The word of God as defined in the bible is a double edged sword. And that means it can cut two ways, the one receiving the given word and the one giving the word. When it is used wrongly or misquoted wrongly, it will seek out the giver and will require that he be judged and be answerable for the account. Those who teach or profess to teach will be judged more severely then the sheep.

Hebrews 4:12, “For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”

Revelation 1:16, “In his right hand he held seven stars, and out of his mouth came a sharp double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.”

The word of God is alive and once sent or spoken, it will go forth and extract that which it was sent. But only when the word is active and for the right season will it accomplish what it was meant to do. Here again, it is when God sends his word through his chosen servants and spoken for a reason. God will frustrate the words of irate preachers and impostors who go against his teachings. The scripture as written in the book of Isaiah 55:11,

Isaiah 55:11 (King James Version)

“11So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”

Ecclesiastes 8:4 (King James Version)

“ 4Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?”

God can not be mocked whatever a man sows that he shall also reap, and it’s not the life after, it is present tense reaping, and we continue to be judged by the word of God for our own actions. There is a time and season for rewarding as well as punishment and this time is determined by God. But God will repay for he will not allow anyone to blaspheme his name forever. This is the year of Judgment and it’s upon the land, the Angel of Vengeance is sent by the Lord to punish the counterfeits and the deceivers. Those who fed poison to the sheep will be called to account for their actions.

Galatians 6:7,

“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.”

Ecclesiastes 12:14 (King James Version),

“14For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.”

Ezekiel 14:7-10 (King James Version)

“7For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourneth in Israel, which separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to a prophet to enquire of him concerning me; I the LORD will answer him by myself:

8And I will set my face against that man, and will make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

9And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.

10And they shall bear the punishment of their iniquity: the punishment of the prophet shall be even as the punishment of him that seeketh unto him;”

This is written especially for those preachers who says that the Ten Commandments is no longer valid and ineffective in the present age of Super Grace, I am again quoting from the bible this particular commandment so that when judgment falls upon them they will know that it is still valid.

Exodus 20:17 (King James Version)

“17Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.”

This commandment also covers the act of coveting your neighbor’s money as well, and judgment is now at the doorways of these greedy pastors and preachers, misguided and blinded by human ways of success. They always preached that it is more blessed to give than to receive yet they don’t give to the poor even in their own churches.

If they truly believe their own teachings, their own churches will be giving away more money since God loves a cheerful giver; so why aren’t they giving money away? They will be blessed a 1000 fold in return and even more. Strange isn’t it. I challenged them to give all away and see if God will return them 1000 fold again.

Because if you keep giving money away you can not be rich, it is the men who can give who are call rich and not the one who has the money in their banks that they are called rich in the Kingdom of God. But earthly definition of a rich man is the one who hoards the wealth. And what did Jesus say about such a man? Tonight, I will take you life because you hoard the wealth and think of what you can enjoy and to build barns to store up more. Jesus taught us to give to the poor and to bless the needy and the widows those without natural support to make a living.

Acts 20:35 (New International Version)

“35In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'”

Matthew 23:25-27 (New International Version)

“25"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. 26Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean.

27"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men's bones and everything unclean. 28In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.”

This is the year of judgment and the hand of vengeance of the Lord is upon the land. I see deep darkness falling upon the people and the sun has been blotted out. The days are near even as I speak when God will punish all cheats, liars, and thieves, and also those who preach false doctrines, heretical philosophies of men, those who interpret the bible from their own idolatrous minds and not from the Holy Spirit, and yes, even those who pervert the Gospel of Reconciliation and made my Father’s House a den of thieves and robbers; meaning those who made profit out of the spiritual holy things in the temple of God.

Luke 12:16-21 (New International Version)

“16And he told them this parable: "The ground of a certain rich man produced a good crop. 17He thought to himself, 'What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.'

18"Then he said, 'This is what I'll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. 19And I'll say to myself, "You have plenty of good things laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry." '

20"But God said to him, 'You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?'

21"This is how it will be with anyone who stores up things for himself but is not rich toward God."”

Curse is the one who hoards the grain and refuse to feed the flocks in times of famine. They will be the one who has to answer to God for every idle word spoken on the podium being twisted as the truth of the Lord My God.

Romans 14:12,
”So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.”

Hebrews 4:13,

“Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.”

Woe to you prosperity preachers your time has come to be called into accountability by God. You who preached myths and fairy tales will see the hand of God upon your lives and see that all you have will be destroyed within a short time. God will make this come to pass even as my soul labors to bring these words to you, I hate this job, but someone has to do this work. But if I do not speak the word burn within my soul like a tormenting reminder to discharge it faithfully and let God answers by it. This economic crisis is God’s answer to your prosperity teachings, unless you renounce and repent, the sword will devour you. So now you have to manifest the financial blessings to those whom you have preached and have believed your story and fairy tales, while God remains silent to their prayers for relief. Those who play with the sword (the word of God) will die by the sword. Our God is a God of truth and he will not support any lies or man made doctrines form the imagination of their flesh. God does not support any ideas which are not his.

Matthew 26:52, “"Put your sword back in its place," Jesus said to him, "for all who draw the sword will die by the sword.”

One Bible Many Jesus Christ

By: Joseph Ho | 18/08/2009 | Christianity
Since the day I set my heart to be a serious Christian, I began to discover that there is one bible but many version of Christ. Even the bible itself consists of many versions and translations, but nevertheless they all speak about the same thing in a different light and wordings. The major difference in the Christian world is that there are actually many types of Jesus and all of them half truths, partial and bias, not the complete understanding of our Lord God and Savior.

Are you a Real Christian, walking in the Spirit of Christ

By: Joseph Ho | 10/08/2009 | Christianity
Most Christians today conform to a set of church teachings which defines their unique denominations, but this is only a subset of the total way of the Lord. They become conformed to external compliance to a standard religious behavior set by their pastor’s knowledge and understanding. They are more bound by peer pressure and desperately seek the approval of fellow Christians. The real Christian are sons and daughters of God, they walk in Spirit and Truth, their transformation is real.

Common Misunderstanding about the Christian Faith - Is it alright to practice Yoga?

By: Joseph Ho | 01/08/2009 | Christianity
Christians should not practice Yoga because Yoga is a physical form of worship to various Hindu gods.Yoga comes out of the Hindu Vedas. It can be traced back to Patanjali, who is a religious leader. Shiva, one of Hinduism's three major gods, was known as "The Destroyer" - he's called Yogi Swara or the "Lord of Yoga". Read John 10:10.

Common Misconception of Christianity - Tattooing your body is alright

By: Joseph Ho | 31/07/2009 | Christianity
In the past tattoos belongs to triad groups, the symbol which the gangsters placed on their bodies is an act of association with that group or sect of people. Because of the significance of a strong allegiance with these groups, people put tattoos on their bodies. I am very surprised that some pastors even have the audacity to claim that tattooing your bodies is allowable even as a Christian. This is a blatant lie and it shows a lack of understanding about spiritual things.

How can a Christian gain Spirituality - is blind faith enough?

By: Joseph Ho | 31/07/2009 | Christianity
Many Christians presumed that having faith is enough for one to become a true Christian. Does faith comes by hearing only? No it does not. It comes by hearing and acting on what you hear. If you don’t check out what you hear is truly from God; how can you act without testing the spirit? Faith comes by hearing is only half truth. Faith without deeds or action is dead as you can find this in the book of James. Read James 2:26.

Common Mistakes in Reading the Bible – lean not unto your own understanding

By: Joseph Ho | 24/05/2009 | Christianity
One of the common mistakes in bible reading is the verse thou shall not judge. The bible says thou shall not judge. Indeed, we must not judge those who have the same sin as us, we are to remove that same sin be over-comers before we can help those who have the same problems. If no one can judge then who are the teachers of the law, they also can not judge anyone, so who can teach who; isn’t that strange?

Common Misconception in Bible Teachings – The True Life of a Christian Walk with God

By: Joseph Ho | 08/05/2009 | Christianity
Jesus always says we are not to be like the world and narrow is the gate to life which very few will find it. How can a Christian be the light of the world when we do what the world does? The value systems of the world are about wealth, fame and power. The world is about hoarding not sharing, it’s about control not empowerment, it’s about subjecting not about serving.
