Well Pleasing To God

The natural response of the heart that feels loved is to love in return because Love awakens love. To nurture love, gratitude must be expressed by recognizing received blessings. All who have felt the love of Yahuwah, will want to obey Him because they love Him. Obedience to the divine law is how love is shown for the Law Giver.

This time my article is on the contentious issue of New Testament obedience, which has always bothered me when standing in The Light of The Lord's Grace, so I hope this article and the one that follows will shed some more Light on a subject that mainstream Christianity takes for granted i.e. that as sons and daughters of God and brothers of The Lord Jesus Christ we're supposed to obey Him, but obey what and, more importantly, why? When did you last obey your brother and/or your friend?

A serious study of Holy Scriptures prove that God is Awesome & Love. When a person committs to such a study and relationship with God the end result is usually love. It seems to this writer that much of what is called Christendom today has lost the belief their forefathers held that obedience is essential to Christian salvation. What has become of the faith when obedience is held to be legalism? Whatever happened to sin?

Jesus was commanded by God the Father to give his life on the cross. Faithfulness demanded he do so. Faithfulness demands of us all faithfulness "unto death."

So then, let us live with eternity in view. Making eternity with God is and should be our greatest expectation from God. That is the climax of all His promises to us. Let us be more and more filled with the knowledge of His throne, Kingdom and coming until we are overwhelmed with them. In other words: Let us live and walk as true pilgrims in this side of heaven until we get to the other side. The fear of God or holiness is very key and indispensable.
