Well Pleasing To God

If Jesus was suppose to be a warrior king, then why did He come as a peacemaker? Why did Jesus associate with the poor, prostitutes, tax collectors and those who were considered to be sinners? Why was Jesus crucified when all He did was good works during His lifetime?

I was left in jail and mad at the predicament we were in. I had lost custody of my children, now Tori was about to lose custody of Brad. Prison was looming over both our heads for defying the court order and all I had done was trusted and obeyed God.

It seems to this writer that much of what is called Christendom today has lost the belief their forefathers held that obedience is essential to Christian salvation. What has become of the faith when obedience is held to be legalism? Whatever happened to sin?

What a beautiful image of love. But this is no ordinary love. This is our spirits meeting with the Spirit of God. This is not the lust of the world flesh with flesh but total spirit from heaven itself.

In my last article "The Limits of God's Grace", I tried to show how God’s grace is frequently presented in such a manner that it nullifies the numerous scriptures that clearly speak of the absolute necessity of holiness if one is to ultimately gain entrance into heaven. Those scriptures are too often ignored in favor of those that emphasize that eternal life is a gift or that salvation is by grace. We would be wise, however, not to ignore anything God has said, especially in so weighty a matter as salvation. If our interpretation of one verse plainly contradicts many other verses, something is wrong with our interpretation.

When the shout of the King is among you, when the Lord is with you, and when you live in the presence of God, no misfortune in your life will faze you. There will be no misery in your life when you’re living in the presence of God.
