What Christmas represents
I am going to start off this article by saying that Christmas has become too materialistic. The whole idea of celebrating it is for the birth of Jesus Christ, god's man made son. Jesus, as a newborn baby, did receive three gifts specially made from the wise kings from far away. But that was only a small part of the celebration as a whole. Mary, Jesus's mother, provided a miracle for the whole world and a reason for us to rejoice loudly once a year at least for the savior. We, as Christians, should rejoice every day, but as humans we tend to become forgetful and take for granted our reason for living so peacefully.
I think it is very important for families to show their gratitude for others, like Jesus did, during the holidays and all throughout the year. I am trying my best to raise my children in a home where we put Jesus, our savior, first and foremost. The parents that praise Jesus more on the holidays instead of just gifts, the more healthy and happy Christian children there will be for our future generation of leaders in the evangelical church. Every year at Christmas time we give to the needy more than we receive. It is not about just giving money away or a certain amount of value. It only means something in god's eyes, if it comes from your heart. We should not boast about it either because you are doing it for the lord's pleasure, not your own pleasure. We do it for Jesus because we are spreading his word as rightful Christians.
The main point here in this article is that giving and praising Jesus is what is most important at this special time of year. We should try our best as humans and Christians alike to live the best life possible. When you do that, you are going to come across some non believers. But as it says throughout the bible, just keep on walking the roads with Jesus, even when you have some others tormenting you. If you do that, then Jesus will see that you are true to him and the others will be seen with their own consequences of their actions against the lord our god.

I was thinking about how great and awesome gods love is now days. Jesus made god more forgiving and to not judge his children so harshly. He made god see that there is great light in all of his children's hearts even with all the mistakes they have made. I am just so glad to raise my children in a Christian home and to love them no matter what. I hope that as a Christian myself, I can reach to others out there in need of Christ in their life.
