What is the difference between receiving something by faith and by assumption?

Written by Joseph Ho, June 5th 2010.

They frequently say the road to hell is paved with many good intentions. This is very true. I have only recently begun to accept the fact that Christians can be sincerely wrong. Their sincerity has nothing to do with the truth of a matter. I can prophesy peace comfort and prosperity on a person but that will not cause a person to have peace, comfort and wealth as long as it is not ordained by God.

No one can cause something to happen by their confession as long as it is not approved by God; I emphasize again no one. Approved servants or man of God are mostly trained in obedience to God and they know what to say and what not to say. God has trained them on the importance of proclaiming a truth and nothing more can be added which is not of God. Assuming we have this gift without the required discipline to use it; is very foolish doctrine. Although we feel that everyone should have this gift yet it is the Holy Spirit that will give the gift severally as he chooses, it's his prerogative and men can not change this by assumption.

We as Christians should learn the process of maturing in Christ. We should walk the way God wants us to, whether we become something else depends on the will of God. When I first started to believe in God, it was for my own personal salvation as I see many mistakes I made in my life and I hope to correct that with the help of God. So I read the bible, study it and try to find out what I can do or gain by following the instructions given. I was not trying to become a teacher, a super apostle or a prophet; that was not my goal. I just wanted to be a good sheep. By this, I meant that I had set my heart to follow the way of Christ Jesus.

I made no assumption, I did not think that when I confess a thing it will happen, if this were to be true then 6,800 blessings in the bible would have been mine, yet I did not see even 10 blessings happening to me yet. So the doctrine of "what you say is what you get" is a delusion and an untrue doctrine at best and not because it did not happen to me made me conclude this statement. Here is a true statement in the bible.

Lamentations 3:37-38 (New International Version)

37 Who can speak and have it happen
if the Lord has not decreed it?

38 Is it not from the mouth of the Most High
that both calamities and good things come?

Confessing a thing will not make it happen, because whatever you have confessed with your mouth is not approved by God. So God has no obligation to do whatever you say. And this is the truth. Imagine all kinds of Christians confessing conflicting wishes, how is that going to come true. Suppose we have 3 men and they are Christians and they all like this beautiful sweet lady and they all started to confess that she becomes their wife what would happen if whatever they confess becomes true? She would have to be 3 men wives and that would be against the will of God. So confessing something can not make it happen even by faith as that faith is not based on the will of God. Worst still, how many Christians truly know the will of God in their life?

Then the preachers say again, we all have the full measure of the Holy Spirit when we are baptized. As far as I know, water baptism will not produce the instantaneous baptism by the Holy Spirit for everyone. Only in the case of Jesus is this statement true. Now why did I say this; read the following true biblical statement again.

Acts 19 (New International Version)

Acts 19:1 to 6

1While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through the interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples 2and asked them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?"
They answered, "No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit."

3So Paul asked, "Then what baptism did you receive?"
"John's baptism," they replied.

4Paul said, "John's baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus." 5On hearing this, they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus. 6When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied. 7There were about twelve men in all.

These people were all baptized by John. Yet, John's baptism is the baptism by water for repentance and they still did not get the baptism of the Holy Spirit. And most of the people don't have this baptism by fire from the Holy Spirit. Why by fire, because the baptism by the Holy Spirit will produce the warm feeling of having fire rising up from in the belly of the person. Paul was an ordained apostle of the Lord who called him into his service at Damascus, so Paul has this ability to baptize anyone by the laying of his hand, this baptism was an instantaneous impartation of the Holy Spirit. Nowadays, I hardly see this kind of move of God in any pastors around the world. Today in order to produce the slain effect they have to push people down, sometimes causing more hurt than good.

Now if every Christian when baptized received this Holy Spirit, why is it that they don't agree with the same scripture and have their own personal interpretations? Can the one same Holy Spirit conflict and contradict itself? Is it that we have different measure of the same Holy Spirit? Or maybe some don't have this Holy Spirit but think they have since they are baptized in water and by "faith" they think they have this Holy Spirit. So the word by faith is a very dangerous word, it's more like by assumption without the evidence of this fact, they imagine that they have this Holy Spirit. This is the greatest delusion that a Christian can ever have, and many don't know that without this Holy Spirit, they are not wearing this white robe or linen and they are never accepted in Christ. I supposed you want some proof of this statement?

Matthew 7:22
Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?'

Jeremiah 14:14
Then the LORD said to me, "The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries and the delusions of their own minds.

Jeremiah 23:16
This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD.

In book of Revelation, those who do not wear white are not in the heavenly realm. The Holy Spirit is the guarantee of your salvation in Christ and not the sinner's prayer. The evidence of believing in Christ Jesus is the presence of the Holy Spirit in that person.

Ephesians 1:13-14 (New International Version)

13And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession—to the praise of his glory.

Jesus Christ is the only one in the entire universe, who can baptize in the Holy Spirit and by fire, and he can ordain anyone with this gift to baptize. So if you are not baptized in the Holy Spirit, you can never see the truth in the bible let alone to follow it. That is why the Christian sector is full of denominations and divided because of doctrinal differences since their "Holy Spirit" is not in unity. In truth, some are not baptized in the Holy Spirit and some think they are but they are not. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth anyone with this Spirit will know the Truth, and those with the same Spirit will agree as one. The reason why there are many disagreements is that some are not having the same Holy Spirit. God is the last place of refuge for me to pretend I know him; he has to be real in my life in order to solve some of my problems which no men can solve. I would never want to pretend I have the Holy Spirit until I can test my spirit within me.

Faith by presumption is a very dangerous thing. Faith must be grown a little at a time, and faith in something must be made manifest as truth through time and then the person will increase in his belief because what was told him through time became flesh or real physically and true. Accepting something without questioning it is not a wise thing to do, I am very glad that I never had to believe in a thing that is not real to me because I waited until it became true. In all my prayers, I get a reply and then I follow that which I received and I saw good results which made me understand that faith is as real as the physical world itself. When God confirms his word to you, your faith will increase. God spoke to Abraham, so he heard God for the first time, and then he believed. He had no bible to read at that time, so he heard God audibly and then he did what the voice said to do and saw the blessings of God.

Have you confirm you have this Holy Spirit in you? If you have you would become the head and not the tail, yet why are you still in misery? The Holy Spirit will guide you in your life and he will bring you to great heights since he is in you. Your results in your life would have already told you what spirit you have. It's having this Holy Spirit that you become the head and not the tail. What is the Holy Spirit? It consists of the 7 lamp stands of God, namely:

Isaiah 11:2 (New International Version)

2 The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him—
the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and of power,
the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD -

  1. The Spirit of the Lord
  2. The Spirit of Wisdom
  3. The Spirit of Understanding
  4. The Spirit of Counsel
  5. The Spirit of Might and Power
  6. The Spirit of Knowledge
  7. The Spirit of (Fear) Respect and obedience to the Lord.

If faith must be grown, how does one grow their faith then? It can only happen, one prayer at a time. Let God show you that he does answer your prayer, one at a time, unless you believe that whenever you call, he will answer you. Don't mistake answering from approving all your requests, he promise to answer you, but he did promise to give to you everything which you asked. Answering means Yes, No and wait.

I remembered sometime ago, I conducted a prayer class to teach the Presbyterians how to pray and receive from God the answers and interpretation. I taught a guy and he prayed the way which I told him to and he came back time and again and replied that God did not answer his prayers so maybe my way of prayer is not correct. After 1 month I asked him again, but this time I asked him what he was praying for and to be honest about it. To my surprised, he prayed that God will allow his mistress and his wife to live with him in the same house. Any every time he prays for a sign, it did not come. I am very glad God is real and faithful, if God said yes, I would have thrown my bible in the fire and become an atheist for sure. How can this man even think he is a Christian for heaven's sake? He don't even understand what is the kind of God that he worships and how can he claim to be a follower of Christ when he didn't even read his bible? Madness and foolishness and if he were to pray the charismatic confession of faith on this one, I would think he will never get what he want.

Faith is never the same as believing without understanding; what is the truth? Faith has to be grown through time, one prayer request each time until we know that whatever is approved of God that he will answer us. Whatever is not of God, he will never answer our prayers with a yes reply. Saying and confessing until the cows come home will not make it happen because we are exercising some apostolic imagination of the right to the son-ship of God. Having good well meaning intentions is not the same as walking in the dominion within the Kingdom of God. God said this:

Isaiah 55:9
"As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Teaching the wrong thing to the sheep will cause them more harm then good. We have the Spirit of Truth so how come we are teaching heresies and myth with fairy tales? This is because, preachers think they need to teach the good news so all teachings must be good and pleasing to the ears. Well let me remind you all, Hell is not a good pleasant teachings and it's definitely not something which people want to be reminded of daily.

"The righteous shall live by faith and also by truth. They shall live by true faith and not some imaginary presumptuous faith." – Joseph Ho

Honestly, it's much harder to teach that we need to receive the Holy Spirit as a seal and guarantee of our salvation, since no one can say yes you have it, not all knows how to test this spirit and some pastors and preachers don't even know what is it? But those with the same Spirit can know it since the Spirit is from the same source, they know that they know. If you don't have it, you don't know what is it, and if you don't know what is it, you can not teach it. Simply put, you can not give what you don't have.

If you want to know more about the truth, come to my website and learn how to ask from God at Kingscepter or you can send me an email at prophet3333@yahoo.com and I will be more than glad to share with you this truth. God bless you all.

For centuries the Jewish people had heard from the scriptures, prophets, priests and rabbis that God would fulfill His promise and establish a New Covenant with His people through the Messiah. On this day in Acts 2 God fulfilled His promise and poured out His Spirit on His people.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever will believe will have everlasting life and not perish. God is there for nonbelievers also. He wants all of His children back. Seek and you shall find, ask and you shall receive, knock and the door will be opened

Historic Black College choirs across the country traditionally visit local community churches. For many churches it's reminiscent of a homecoming. Alum, prospective students and the community at large celebrate the choir, enjoy and appreciate the sacred music, pay tribute to loved ones that have helped financially support and embraced the school's mission which instills pride in the hope and dream of surviving and making it in a harsh world. Their presence is a testament of God's goodness.

God does not speak to just anyone. God is not a respecter of person; he only speaks to those whom he calls sons and daughters, to those who are completely yielded to him and his teachings. Those who can hear from him, have been given special privileges to do so. God causes people to hear his voice on a selective basis. Those who seek him truthfully and are willing to follow him will hear his voice. God looks at the heart while people looks at your worldly possession. God is peace and joy

Those who know their God will do great exploit. David, Samuel, Joseph, Moses, Samson, Gideon are all people who have direct communication with the angel of God. Because God told them deep secrets and gave them much critical information and signs, these people did great exploit with God. Herein, this article, I have described 3 exploit which I did with the help of God and all of them are real practical hidden treasures which only God will know; imagine God giving you some insider information.

This is a secret which brought much light into my life. The bible says God is always searching the earth, looking for people who will seek him to understand and walk in his ways and he will then prosper them. Prospering in the things of God means God will cause everything we do to succeed.

What has light got to do with darkness? Christian should be the salt of the earth as the bible says. Being the salt meant that anything which comes into contact with it will not rot away. Hence, the Lord uses the meaning of the salt to explain the usefulness and preventive decay of society when Christians are still present on this earth.

Give to God and God will give back to you in many folds return is an absurd teachings. God owns the entire whole and he does not need your money. If God wants to get something done he can and will. All he has to do is to cause some great pagan kings sleepless nights until he fulfills God's wishes. Look at King Nebchadnezzar and King Cyprus, they were both pagans yet they served the Lord God Almighty and acknowledges that he is God.
