"How wonderful to be wise, to be able to analyze and interpret things. Wisdom lights up a person's face, softening its hardness." (Ecclesiastes 8:1)

"But do people know where to find wisdom? Where can they find understanding?" (Job 28:12) And this is what he says to all humanity: "The fear of the Lord is true wisdom; to forsake evil is real understanding." (Job 28:28) To understand this, Wisdom is required. "Let the one who has understanding solve the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man; His number is 666." (Revelation 13:18)

In Solomon's day, God said to him of Wisdom; "Because your greatest desire is to help your people, and you did not ask for personal wealth and honor or the death of your enemies or even a long life, but rather you asked for wisdom and knowledge to properly govern my people." "I will certainly give you the wisdom and knowledge you requested. And I will also give you riches, wealth, and honor such as no other king has ever had before you or will ever have again." (2 Chronicles 1:11, 1:12) In (1 Kings 4:29); "God gave Solomon great wisdom and understanding, and knowledge too vast to be measured."

"Wisdom belongs to the aged, and understanding to those who have lived many years." (Job 12:12) "But true wisdom and power are with God; counsel and understanding are his." (Job 12:13)

"Reverence for the LORD is the foundation of true wisdom. The rewards of wisdom come to all who obey him. Praise his name forever!" (Psalms 111:10)

"Fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge. Only fools despise wisdom and discipline." (Proverbs 1:7) "For the LORD grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding." (Proverbs 2:6)

"For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will fill you with joy." (Proverbs 2:10) "Wisdom will save you from evil people, from those whose speech is corrupt." (Proverbs 2:12) "Don't turn your back on wisdom, for she will protect you. Love her, and she will guard you." (Proverbs 4:6) "If you prize wisdom, she will exalt you. Embrace her and she will honor you." (Proverbs 4:8)

"Fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in understanding." (Proverbs 9:10) "If you become wise, you will be the one to benefit. If you scorn wisdom, you will be the one to suffer." (Proverbs 9:12) "Pride leads to disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom." (Proverbs 11:2) "To acquire wisdom is to love oneself; people who cherish understanding will prosper." (Proverbs 19:8) "In the same way, wisdom is sweet to your soul. If you find it, you will have a bright future, and your hopes will not be cut short." (Proverbs 24:14)

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. As the Scriptures say, "God catches those who think they are wise in their own cleverness." (1 Corinthians 3:19)

"For jealousy and selfishness are not God's kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and motivated by the Devil." (James 3:15) "If you need wisdom; if you want to know what God wants you to do; ask him, and he will gladly tell you. He will not resent your asking." (James 1:5) "But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no partiality and is always sincere." (James 3:17)

"And remember, the Lord is waiting so that people have time to be saved. This is just as our beloved brother Paul wrote to you with the wisdom God gave him." (2 Peter 3:15)

Remaining blind to God's Revelation disbelievers are visionless of the pre-mental Truths behind religion. This myopia is passed off as the rational intelligence of modern geniuses which up-ends only to end up in chaos of contradictions like fragile Babel* of our Pagan ancestors'. [* Babel: literary meaning is the scene of noise or confusion; the word has its present origin in the Bible's Book of Genesis 11: 1-9]

Historic Black College choirs across the country traditionally visit local community churches. For many churches it's reminiscent of a homecoming. Alum, prospective students and the community at large celebrate the choir, enjoy and appreciate the sacred music, pay tribute to loved ones that have helped financially support and embraced the school's mission which instills pride in the hope and dream of surviving and making it in a harsh world. Their presence is a testament of God's goodness.

As spiritual human beings we are never ever alone, especially during our most trying times. God is always with us. This poem was originally written by Mary Stevenson in 1936 when she was just a little girl. Amazing how the right stories just find their way into our lives if we as human beings carry the vision of God's will into our lives!

Expressing feelings and the ability to be aware of and express one's feelings is an important emotional foundation. Often merely recognizing and expressing a feeling is enough to lessen it, control it, accept it, or shift one's attention away from it. The creative aspect of expressing a feeling is to tune in to exactly how the feeling "wants" to come through. Expressing a feeling is just another strategy to avoid the experience of feeling it directly.
