Audi A8 hybrid

Posted: Sep 05, 2011 |Comments: 0 |

I have had my Audi A3 in Somerset for nearly two years now, and I feel it's time to buy myself a new car. I started looking for a car on the internet but somehow I end up looking at other things. So to make sure I only search for cars, I bought a few car magazines and newspapers.

While I was on the internet, I came across a page about the new Audi A8 hybrid, which will be available in the UK in late 2012. Audi confirmed the production will begin in early 2012, so I'm thinking if I should just wait for the new Audi or buy a car now.

The Audi sounds like a car I want, the body is made almost completely of aluminium, with ultra high strength steel used only for the B-pillars for optimum rigidity. It has a lithium-ion battery located in the boot, providing the electric motor with 1.3 kWh of nominal energy and up to 40kW of power.
