With the many millions of drivers on the road every day the smart and legal thing to do is to be driving with auto insurance. Proper vehicle insurance is mandatory and very important. Driving without insurance can result in fines, tickets and sometimes tow costs.
Some may think that saving a few hundred a year by not getting insurance for your car is a good idea, but it’s not. As the driver or owner of any vehicle, you should be insured with the state minimum coverage in your area. Although you may go with the cheapest policy called liability, at least you are somewhat covered in most situations. If you were to get in an accident that’s was your fault, and you have no insurance, all repayment of medical bills, damage cost and much more will be coming out your own pockets.
Car insurance it there to protect you, your passengers, all cars involved in the accident and the other vehicles driver and passengers. Don’t lose drivers points by getting caught without insurance. With the many choices of auto insurance companies out there, you can easily find a payment plan that fits your needs and budget.
Remember that you must get full coverage no matter what if you are leasing or still making payments on a vehicle. You wouldn’t want to total your car and end up paying the balance for a worthless pile of steel. If you own your vehicle with no liens, you can opt for the liability package which only covers the other vehicle and not yours in case of an accident. This is great for old beater cars that would not benefit from being fixed if it were ever to be in an accident.
So go out there and find an insurance policy and be assured that you, passengers and family are covered in any event of an auto accident.
