A Quiet Sunday Afternoon with Linen
A few days ago I was sitting down and felt like penning down whatever random thoughts came to my mind. Having not much to do on a quiet and lazy Sunday afternoon, I could not think of a better option. I sat all comfy and pretty in a dainty little blue linen dress, got hold of a writing pad and a pen with a drop of ink still left to last me whatever was left of the remaining day. Initially I was at a loss so as to what I should start with. But as it always happens, the fluidity of thoughts just took charge and I did not have to think much after that.
When I looked around I was surprised to notice something. My vision got arrested by the beautifully draped curtains. The table looked inviting with a classy tablecloth spread over it. The feel of the bed sheet played with my senses and the elegance of the embroidered wall hanging pleased me to the core. I caught myself staring at the empty floor and realized that the maximum number of articles in the room was made of linen cloth. I had read somewhere that linen cloths have the strength of a warrior, stealth of a predator, the wisdom of a master and will stand the test of time. Truly indeed.
