The euphoria of the engagement is wearing and then you start realising the problems you are facing with when making your dream wedding come true. The exotic setting in a hot tropical setting on the beach with the trees and all the splendours that nature has to offer around the two of you. Flowers in your hair, while walking along the beach holding hands. The sun setting over the ocean. That is when the moment of panic takes hold, what am I going to wear when saying my vows!
Beach wedding dresses are not the easiest to find. The dress you require needs to tick so many boxes, where do I start?
First of all, do not panic. Being practical will save you allot of trouble in the long run. Choose something that will allow you to enjoy the time you are there before the wedding. You honestly do not want to spend all your time running around trying to get creases out of your wedding dress. I, therefore, strongly suggest giving silk a miss unless you are travelling to your home country and you know a reliable dry cleaner that can steam your wedding dress after arriving. There so many really good quality satins that will look beautiful and make your run up to the wedding far more stress free.
Be realistic, if your wedding dress as been for weeks on end then it is going to be more creased then if you packed it more a much shorter period of time. Pack your dress as late as possible.
Being practical also, means that you should think of taking it hand luggage and not placing it in the cargo hold. This will reduce the possibility of it being lost. Lets be honest, you can replace most of your other things at short notice but your wedding dress that you spent months choosing is not going to be that easy.
All in all common sense goes a very long way and everything should go without too many hitches, well... except for the important one that is.
