All companies that have been established have one goal that is to get their product in the market, and be a market leader. This goal however is still rooted into another ideal, that is, you should be able to answer the needs of the consumers and provide these needs. When you are able to achieve this, everything follows, the brand, profits and being a market leader. But with the high competition that every business faces nowadays, you have to make a difference that will distinguish you among the crowd and one of this is defining brand equity. While many consumers think that brand equity concerns only the product launched by the company, brand equity encompasses all and becomes part of the company’s culture. One of the ways the company define their brand equity aside from the quality and standard of their product is also defining the personality and culture of its workforce, or the people. This is the reason why the company culture is being relayed to its people and corporate suit is one of its effects.



Corporate suit is one of the manifestations of the brand equity of a company. Let us first define brand equity. Brand equity is how the consumer can distinguish you from the other. The strengthening of brand equity of a company is not made through a single strategy but rather of collective efforts. Therefore, how the people in the company dresses, the value and personality is also a manifestation of an effective brand equity strategy.

Many companies do not carelessly choose the corporate suit. This is done with careful scrutiny to make sure that the corporate suit will make a good appearance and image not only of the wearer but the company itself. But how it is being done? There are different parts of a corporate suit and these parts may come with each other while others can serve as an additional installation to serve it style.

The pockets. A pocket is one of the parts of corporate suit that can be change without affecting the body as a whole. Most suits have a standard of two outer pockets while some also have inner pockets. Outer pockets can be patch pockets, flap pockets, or jetted pockets. Among the three, the jetted pocket is the most formal and used in formal suits.

The sleeves. Most suit jackets not only those of corporate suits have buttons on each cuff. These do not serve for functional uses but rather for decoration only. Most often, the sleeve is styled depending on the number of buttons. There are also some who incorporate five buttons for the sleeve as part of modern fashion but is rarely done.

Lapels. The lapels of the corporate suit can vary according to the cut of the suit itself. This should be taken in careful consideration to make sure that the lapels do not overwhelm the suit.

The style of corporate suit varies from one to another. Most often the color also considered to fit the corporate color for a closer definition of the company and establish part of its brand equity.
