* Hand wash is the best wash can be given to it. It retains its smoothness.

* Do not rub hardly the satin material as it affects its smoothness as well as loosened the fabric.

* After washing do not dry it in dryer. Instead place satin dress in a towel flatly and roll the towel, Swiss roll style, and apply pressure to force out water. Then unroll the towel and take out your dress and put it on another clean and dry towel for air-drying. Keep satin fabric away from sun or excess heat. This is the right procedure of drying satin.

* Like cotton, satin does not need to be ironed heavily. It is a light and smooth material thus cool ironing is perfect for it.

Don’ts
