Halloween Costume designs fall into two categories: Sexy and Traditional. And within each of these categories, there are some popular themes.
’S’ isn’t for ‘Scary’, It’s for ‘Sexy’!
Indeed SEXY Halloween Costumes are all the rage. In the past few years, Halloween has become an extremely popular holiday among adults and their Halloween festivities. In fact, adult women costumes have been selling like never before, and the trend isn’t the traditional costume of being spooky or comical, but all out sexy! I was reading an article recently about the huge increase in popularity with women, 20 to 40 years old buying sexy costumes.
According to the article, the ‘S’ word for Halloween isn’t ‘scary’ anymore - it’s ‘sexy’! It just goes to show that you’re never too old to play dress up. Halloween is the one night of the year when many women can step out of their comfort zone and not be alone in doing so. And if this trend continues as we expect, many women will be wearing these sexy costumes this year to costume parties, masquerade balls or even for a night out ‘clubbing’ with friends.
Popular sexy Halloween costume classics like transforming yourself into a sexy French Maid, a Police Officer with thigh-high boots and fish net stockings or being a Naughty Nurse for the night are all extremely popular. Taking on the sultry persona of the Queen of Halloween herself, Elvira Mistress of the Dark, might be just want you’re looking for! And if you want that sexy look but just aren’t quite ready to show too much skin, thereare plenty of costumes out there just for you such as a Very Sexy Pirate, Sassy Gangster or the Cauldron Witch just to name a few.
This season we expect more of the same when it comes to Sexy Halloween costumes. And for women who want to live out a fantasy to be as sexy as you want to be, Halloween is your event. Whether you’re single, married, a mom or a grandma it doesn’t matter. Halloween gives women, who are normally restrained, a chance to let loose, get wild, wicked or even naughty without judgment. Halloween can be very liberating for many ‘soccer moms’. Traditional is Still ‘IN’
When it comes to ‘popular’ Halloween costumes you can’t beat the traditional route. According to the National Retail Federation (NRF) for the last two years running, princess costumes have remained the most popular costume for kids. Other popular costumes include pirates, witches and superheroes such as Spider-Man. Traditional costumes never go out of style. You will always see a princess, witch, vampire, devil or ghost trick-or-treating on Halloween night.
