A drop shipping wholesaler takes an order from a customer, places it with a wholesaler, who ships it out directly to the customer. You, the seller, then profit by taking the difference from the retail amount (what you sold it for) and the wholesale cost (what the wholesaler sold it to you for). This can be a very effective way to make extra money.
The Internet has made drop shipping a very attractive and lucrative way to turn a buck or two. Yet there are a few things to know in order to be as profitable as you can be.
Follow these five basic steps to become a successful and prophitable drop shipping wholesaler:
First you need to find a reputable auction website and create a seller account. This is where you will eventually list whatever merchandise you are going to sell and the price list of these items.
Next, you contract with a drop shipping company that sells the items you want to sell. There are usually pictures and descriptions of these items. You will select which ones you want to sell from the items they have available.
After you’ve made your selection, you post this entire inventory on your auction website you set up in step one. Remember the drop shipper has the descriptions and pictures for you to add to your auction web site. Changing the wording and adding pictures will help your product be more noticeable.
Now you need to pick a selling price. You want to have a minimum bid because the goal is to make money.
Once your auction has ended, you’ll pay the wholesaler, they ship to the customer, and you pocket any profit.
