Nike Air Force One "The Ultimate Collection" Pt. 1

Nike Air Force Ones have been the center of attention when it comes to sneakers for the past few decades. There is something awe inspiring about them and the celebrities who don them on a regular basis. The name itself is derived from the presidential airplane which shares the same name, minus the Nike of course. There are countless numbers of celebrities that swear by these shoes and an even greater number of collectors. There are some key characteristics that define the brand on the whole but on the other hand there are an infinite amount of designs, colors and schemes that the shoe comes in.

The Air Force Ones have three distinct styles including high-top, low-top and mid-top. The defining characters of these shoes include a Velcro strap that can hang low or be tied up tight, a removable medallion attached to the laces with the numbers 82 inscribed to signify the first year in which they were produced. On top of these features, the vast array of colors, designs, sizes and shapes that the shoes come in has made them world famous and a hot commodity for all sneaker collectors. No collection of sneakers can be deemed complete with a couple of air force ones that have been deemed rare and special.

While there are an infinite number of color combinations, the most popular by far is the "white-on-white" version that is solid white throughout. Celebrities from Jay-Z to pretty much every popular basketball player swear by these sneakers for everyday wear and special occasions. While the sneakers did gain original popular through rap moguls and idols, they have become much more mainstream throughout the world in recent years and can be seen pretty much anywhere you go. Possibly the biggest exposure the brand got was when rap superstar Nelly produced a single entitled, "Air Force Ones" to commemorate the widespread popularity.
