Nothing Compares to the Grace and Elegance of the Traditional Attire of Indian Women

Posted: Mar 27, 2011 |Comments: 0 |

Traditional attire of Indian women is some of the most elegant clothing in the world. One of the most graceful and elegant of all Indian attire for women is the bridal saree. A wedding saree may be as simple or elaborate as the bride wishes. Designer sarees are increasingly popular and help make the bride's special day one of excitement and timeless beauty.

A wedding saree may be worn many ways and brings an entirely new sense of glamour to the bridal wardrobe. Wrapped closely to the body, it shows off the delicate form of the woman's body without being overly revealing. Secured at the waist and draped over one shoulder, it provides a light, airy cover that catches beautifully in the slightest breeze. Worn as a head cover and draped over one shoulder, it creates a very sensual, elegant portrait of traditional bridal wear.

However the bride chooses to wear her bridal saree, she is, without a doubt, going to be the most elegantly dressed woman at her wedding. A matching choli, and lengha create the perfect bridal ensemble. A dupatta flows over the lengha, creating a seamless look where the choli and lengha leave the midriff open, allowing more flexibility with the style the saree is worn.

Pairing a wedding saree with lengha is a wonderful way to bring attention to the bride's wardrobe. The saree blouse may be long or short sleeved, or even sleeveless. A saree blouse worn with the perfect matching  bridal saree is simply perfection. Accessorize with jewels and watch the lovely bride radiate with beauty.

Tradition

Red has been the traditional bridal color in India for many centuries. Only recently have other colors been accepted as bridal colors; shades of blue, gold and purple are quite popular. Many designers are creating bridal wear in a variety of shades and designs.

Those brides who wish to remain true to tradition often enjoy embellishments in gold or silver. Many choose an impeccably stitched red choli with matching lengha and then drape a matching designer saree. The way the wedding saree is draped depends on the personal taste of the bride. She has many different drapes from which to choose.

Traditional wedding attire is often decorated with threads of silver and gold; pearls, diamonds and other precious gemstones may be sewn onto the wedding attire. Designer wedding attire is made of very high quality silk and only the best quality adornments.

You don't have to be from India to look stunning in cultural dress. Traditional attire of Indian women fits most body types and brings an air of beauty to any occasion. The woman wearing it always feels beautiful; because she looks beautiful.

Traditional attire of Indian women, with its elegant design, style and rich colors, is replicated and desired the world over. Many women around the world purchase designer Indian clothing for parties, weddings or even every-day wear. Designer bridal sarees, along with the right jewelry and lengha are the perfect finishing touches for the traditional Indian bride.
